Elohssa looked up at the battle. Yabu was struggling to remain as out of sight as possible. Goku and Piccolo never saw Kyu and Shaoten as adults, but there would be many complications if they caught sight of Yabu or Elohssa. A few Hermalans had Shaoten surounded in the air. Not taking any chances, Elohssa gazed upward and fired a beam of energy from his cybernetic eye. One of the warriors was sent to the ground, Shaoten pulling free of the circle and taking out the rest with a fair bit of difficulty. Elohssa turned to see that Goti had entered the cloud of warriors, struggling to defend his great grandfather with his injuries from the battle with Danzyr and Pranzyr. A sound could be heard to the left as Yabu returned to the ground. "Kakkarat and Piccolo need to be taken away from here," he said, his hair still golden from the battle as a super saiyan. "Indeed," Elohssa agreed, "And there are other hotspots as well. We can't possibly handle all of them alone." "We will find a way," Yabu said confidently, not letting the hopelessness of the situation appear on his face.

"Wake up fool," the Hermalan shouted, "You are outmatched. You will never win." "You're wrong!!" Vegeta shouted, unleashing a blaze of energy as his cry continued. One of the Hermalans fell into the new hole that had been gouged into the planet, but the others were unharmed. "Puny saiyan," the speaker sneered, "You have wasted so much of your energy that nothing can possibly save you now." "Napa," Vegeta panted, "Raditz, get out of here. I don't need weaklings getting in my way." "I will head for Earth, my prince?" Raditz asked. "Fine, just go," Vegeta answered. Raditz turned and flew from the battle toward the place where his ship had been left. Vegeta still faced the Hermalans, filled with rage. "Now, we will see who's beaten," the saiyan prince said as he began to gather his energy. A tremendous amount of energy was flowing around him, his hands crackling with its magnitude. The saiyan warrior finally unleashed this tremendous blast, which the Hermalans deflected with ease. The only thing was, at that exact moment, the time travelors arrived on the planet. Kairin, Katar, and the fusion of the twins all launched their attacks from behind, obliterating the Hermalans before using the time matrix to move instantly away from the planet, leaving Vegeta exhausted on the ground.

As soon as they arrived on Earth, the twins separated. They were several yards from the battle in the air, the five saiyans of the future pitching in their assistance. "There they are!" At shouted, indicating Yabu and Elohssa on the ground. "At least they aren't dead yet," Kairin observed, "We need to act quickly if we plan on avoiding being seen. After my transformation, I doubt either of them will recognize me in the future. You guys up to high speed butt kicking?" "The transformation was a little tiring," Rani admited, sweat visible on his forehead. "Yeah," Liquaro agreed, "I don't know how well we can hold up." "I'll turn into Buu," At suggested. "They'll see Buu in a few years," Kairin responded, "Perhaps you should become Goku again." "I'm not very good with his techniques," At reminded him. "Try to stay clear of them then," Kairin said, "If you can stay out of sight and attack from the ground, then use Buu. Katar, you up to the art of invisibility?" "No problem," Katar said, taking a step toward the battle. She and Kairin both moved in a blurring flash into the air. Kairin plowed straight through one of the Hermalans, Katar moving around the perimeter and blasting fiercely. The onslaught was distracting the shrinking Legion and allowing the saiyans and Piccolo to get an advantage. Katar returned to the ground, followed by Kairin. At had morphed into Buu and threw his snack beam up at the cloud of warriors. A cloud of jaw-breakers fell to the ground. "Out of sight, now," Kairin hissed as At turned Goku, Piccolo, and the other fighters back to their original states. Liquaro and Rani teleported to the three half-saiyans and moved them out of sight. Elohssa and Yabu took the hint and moved as well, the group of them disappearing into a thicket of trees that was nearby. "So, I see you've recovered the time matrix," Yabu said, noting the large sphere between them. "Yes," Kairin said gravely, "But we left Shairo, Gotenks, and Goton in the future with the emperor and four of his strongest fighters outside of the RDF. We also managed to save Vegeta on the way back." "What was the emperor doing in the future?" Kyu asked. "He meant to destroy Brolly and his family," Katar answered. "And they haven't failed yet?" Yabu asked, suddenly alert. "They're still there if that's what you mean," Kairin said. "We must go back and finish this,' Elohssa said, "The emperor must be stopped at all costs." * Say, I realized something. If the emperor kills Goton as a baby, then he and Gotenks will never fuse and Dahyr would not have lost his fight. The resistance would have been crushed and the emperor never would have gone back. hmm... well, just one of the chaanges that the goofball could have caused. It would be an endless circle. If he kills Goton, then he will return to find that nothing has really changed, because he never went back. So, in esence, if the emperor makes this mistake, the whole trip will have been for nothing, whereas it still might have occured with some of the other fighters deaths (Though not likely.) Hmm... something to think about...

We should start finding good chapter-breaking points. I think it might be easier to use the quote option on the parts we watn and stuff like that there... also, we need to do something about the paragraph indentions... that is the most varying format thing in the document... and will it be double spaced or single when we send it in?

"Now," he said commandingly, "I shall send some of you, my valliant warriors, to destroy Kakkarat and his son. Another group will handle the namik, another at Kame house, and another will destroy the Capsule corporation and the pair known as Tien and Chiauzu. Some of the stronger among you will destroy Frieza and his forces, and then take care of the remaining saiyans, including Brolly and his father. My elites and I shall remain here and deal with these invidels. O, and if you should run across the world champion of this planet, Hercule isn't it,, destroy him as well. Destroy the cave of Dochoshini, destroy all things that could get in our way before they can ripen." The army shouted in confirmation as they all vanished, save a few. "We have to stop them!" Rani exclaimed as he made a rush for the time matrix. It suddenly vanished, the emperor with it, and they reappeared several yards behind the group. Rani fell from the force of the dash and landed on his face. "Hahahahahaha!" the emperor laughed with pleasure, "You cannot destroy me! But I can destroy all of you." "Nice try," Katar said, "But the twins and I are already dead. We returned to this world through the cave of Dochoshini. You cannot destroy us." "True," the emperor said with a tedious smile, "But I can do so much worse before you beg to die again. Attack!!" And with that, the army made its move against the remaining forces of earth that were near to them enough to survive. This appears a nice spot to end a chapter... and the next post is "Goken was met by a large number of the Emperor's army" or something to that effect. Oh, and I'm not sure that it would matter whether or not it is double spaced or not since it appears as a new paragraph either way when it's uploaded.

Oh, and I think it'd be a nice touch to start chapter II where Gotenks wakes up on the island. In the document, it is the exact beginning of page... six i think... and it leaves us with this huge question... something happened and they have to keep reading to see! And then we have someone new appear in the next chapter with violent revenge written in his anguish... it seems an effective transition.

HmHmm... I just realized something... * Shairo continued to wait while Goton prepared to destroy the Hermalans when he noticed something moving on the ground. The pods that held the Hermalan warriors that Aro had ejected were still there, and it was quite possible that they could burst at any moment, not to mention that the Emperor could probably revive them and unleash an unstopable force upon the three warriors. Without hesitation, Shairo dropped to the ground and began blasting the pods fiercely, trying to destroy them and their inhabitance as quickly and thoroughly as possible. The problem was that the emperor took notice of him and moved for the pods, seeking to revive his warriors. "You will not keep my army from me!" the emperor said triumphantly, standing amid the pods and holding his staff at the ready. "Let's see you stop me," Shairo replied, going super saiyan two and hovering over the pods. With a shout he sent a pool of energy down, carving a hole in the ground and obliterating the pods. The emperor stood in the hole, unharmed, looking furious. "You will die," he said simply, raising his staff to the sky and releasing a bolt of energy. Shairo quickly dodged. The emperor had to be destroyed. It was the only way to truly end this conflict.

The two ships descended toward the planet Hermalya. As Vento had advised, they landed in the outskirts, one of the few places not dominated by some form of the Hermalan civilization. The two planet pirates landed and exited their ships. "Now," Vento said, "Let's finish this. Sir. X's forces will detect us soon. We don't want them to have the chance to find us." Hmmph," Tartena replied, "Then let us commense." He raised his hands, a ball of energy forming in each. Light began to blaze around him as Vento took a hovering position and created a crackling aura around his outstretched hand. "Fusion ball!" Tartena shouted, bringing the two balls of energy together and rising into the air. He hurled the blast at the ground, sending a blaze of incinerated dust into the air as the blast tore through the planet. Vento added his own blast, shattering the ground beneath them. The two forces flew through the planet, splitting the continent nearly in half. The thing that they hadn't counted on was that their blasts would hit an underground military base where several Hermalan warriors were in training. The soldiers within struggled to survive as the more powerful among them made to deflect the attack. It ended up throwing a gyser of energy up that threw Tartena to the ground as Vento quickly jumped away, moving toward the ships. "It appears we've been discovered," Vento observed. "Anyone alive?" came a voice that was muffled with distance in the crater. "We're all fine, Danzyr," another voice answered, "I think a few people got fried in the break room, but all of us are unharmed." "Dashyr's got a nasty burn," another voice commented. "Serves him right," the first voice said mockingly, "The weakling. It's his own fault if it burned him. Let him suffer." "Don't go calling me a weakling, Danzyr," came another voice with some youth to it, "I was the one that slowed it enough for you to deflect it!" "Learn your places," another, more mature and authoritarian voice sounded, "Get up there before the fools escape." "Vento, let's go," Tartena said, getting to his feet to see that Vento's ship had already lifted off. Scowling, Tartena followed suit, entering his vessel and tearing away from the planet as figures rose from the crater below, blasting at them to no avale.

"My lord," the messenger said, "We've received word that the training fasility in the outer rim has been attacked." "Have the culprits been found?" the emperor of the past asked. "No sir," the messenger replied, "But guards have gone out to search the cities to check for invaders. We have lost contact with several of them." "Invaders?" the emperor said in obvious concern, "On my planet? I will not have it! We are a race of warriors! It is not they who should invade us, but we who should destroy them!" "Shall I send for the army, my lord?" the messenger asked. "I ask the questions," the emperor snapped, "Now, I want you to summon Idabab." "Yes, my lord," the messenger said, walking from the room. A few minutes later, the figure of Idabab, much younger now, entered the emperor's chamber. "You summoned me, Master?" Idabab said, sounding perfectly calm. "Word has come of invaders upon our world," the emperor said, "Why have you not told me of the concentration of enemy power?" "I must apologize, my lord," Idabab answered, "But I have good reason." "And that reason is?" the emperor said, his patience obviously waring thin. "Several Hermalan spirits have appeared in a distant part of the universe," Idabab explained, "And they have all simply vanished. The planet that they are on is several years away, my lord, and the sudden appearancce of such powerful fighters and their disappearance suggests that this planet is more of a threat than these invaders. Your army is more than capable of forcing these fools off of our world. I fear that it will require intense training before your armies can handle this world." "Why should we bother with it?" the emperor snarled. "They are tampering with time, I believe," Idabab said, "I believe that the emperor from many years hence was present. They pose a greater threat to us than any other race. They have destroyed many Hermalan warriors and appear to have power over time that ccould threaten our civilization in its prime." "So what do you suggest, Idabab?" the emperor asked. "I suggest that we send a scouting party to possibly destroy or investigate this world," Idabab answered, "In the mean time, our armies must intensify their training to become the strongest fighters in the universe." "Yes..." the emperor said to himself. He then snapped his fingers loudly and the messenger hurried into the room. "Yes my lord?" he said, kneeling before the emperor. "Bring me the survivors from the base that was destroyed," the emperor commanded, "They will become my elite warriors when I am through with them." "Yes, my master," the messenger said, hurrying away. "Idabab," the emperor said, "Send your apprentice to this planet to work her magic. If possible, have her destroy it." "Yes, my lord," Idabab replied, "I will keep a strict watch over the situation." He turned and walked from the room.

Goten turned to face the group. "We have a challenging danger before us," he said, trying to sound like his father as best he could, "Our world is undoubtedly devastated. Our guardian has confirmed this. The earth has become a slave of the empire, civilization dwindling to pockets under the rule of the Hermalans. But all hope is not lost. There is still one thing that may undo this destruction that has befallen the earth. When they brought me in, the Hermalans had been gathering the dragon balls to secure them in the case that they were needed and to prevent us from using them to stop them. I had found the last two, but Dashyr managed to take them from me. Now, the seven dragon balls are gathered in the RDF's stronghold to the north. If we can get the dragon balls, we can make any two wishes we want other than destruction and the revival of those dead by nature or for the second time." "If they beat everyone already," Kikyo said, "How can we hope to beat them?" "I don't know," Goten replied, "But we have to try. If we can come up with a good enough plan, then I know that we can pull it off." "How motivating," came a voice from the outside. Goten turned to see three Hermalans standing in the light beyond, clad in the armor of the RDF. "Vixion, I presume," Goten said. "The one and only," Vixion replied, "We've come to end your little uprising. Donnyr and Blitzian have the base well guarded. There's no one powerful enough to get past them, not even Cybtrenks or his puny band of clones." "What's that supposed to mean?" Kikyo asked. "Never you mind," Vixion answered, grinning molevolently, "Besides, none of that will matter in a moment. Komet, Kupid, grab the Namek and keep him from healing anybody." The two behind Vixion made an unseen dash into the chamber. Goten made a move to defend Dende, getting knocked to the ground by a blow from Komet. The two Hermalans snatched Dende, who remained still, wide-eyed and horrified." "Stop them!" one of the ex-prisoners shouted. "Not likely to happen," Vixion said, raising a hand to obliterate the occupants of the crumbling fortress. Thinking quickly, Goten shot out a barrier of energy, scattering the freed people and smashing the walls. Vixion's blast destroyed what was above them, leaving them in an open pit that was an extension of the one that Dashyr, Danzyr, and Pranzyr had died in. Goten stood, apparently tired by the effort involved, defiant and ready. "Foolish monkey," Vixion said as Komet and Kupid began to move out of the way with Dende, "You just earned yourself a first-class butt whipping!"

Elohssa, Shaoten, Yabu, Goti, and Kyu joined the others and placed their hands upon the time matrix. "How exactly do we use this thing?" Kyu asked. "We simply need to focus on what we're doing," Kairin explained, "But it's imperative that we all focus on the same thing, otherwise we'll end up somewhere completely messed up. We may end up creating our own world by crossing our desires." "Wait a second," Shaoten said, "This thing can create universes?" "Sort of," Kairin said, "It's a bit complicated. I've never really thought of the science involved, but now really isn't the time. We need to go take care of the emperor before it's too late." "It already is!" came a chilling voice from within the woods. They all turned their heads to see a Hermalan woman, clad in solid black, standing a few feet away. Everything about her was jet-black, from her shoulder-length hair to her robes and matching face. The only color about her was her eyes, which gleamed yellow and large. "Let's go!" Kairin said, trying to focus on moving the time matrix. "You will not go anywhere!" the sorceress shouted, raising her hand. A jet of sparkling green stars roared at Kairin, knocking him to the ground, unconscious. "Kairin!" Katar shouted, flying at the woman in a rage. As she reached her, the woman vanished and reappeared behind the group, releasing a whirl wind of green light that knocked them all away from the time matrix. "Somebody stop her!" Rani shouted, trying desperately to get off of the ground with the wind, now invisible again, still pressing upon him. "Rani, instant transmission," Liquaro said. The two of them disappeared at the same time and came to stand behind the Hermalan witch, blasting her onto her face. She was quickly up, fire racing from her hand to narrowly miss the boys as they jumped aside. "You cannot match the power that I possess," the woman said, her voice more like that of a dietie than what one would think of as a witch. She seemed more like a young woman than an old cackling hag. Kyu appeared behind her and kicked her forward. "You are no match for Kone!" she shouted, turning and sending a bolt of lightning into Kyu's body. He sank to his knees, pain blazing through him. "Kone's sorcery is of no use against me," Yabu said, flying to face her, "And I will not allow you to harm my son." "He does care about something," Shaoten muttered. Kone's hands began to release the green stars that she had hit Kairin with, but they had no effect on Yabu. "Your puny attacks cannot harm the undead," he said calmly. "Your powers will never reach my planet!" Kone declared, releasing a sphere of green light that knocked Yabu back but did him no harm. "We have no use for your planet," Katar said, standing up and glaring at Kone with ferocity, "It was your stupid emperor that brought us here in the first place." "That's a lie," Kone said, sending her green stars at Katar. The saiyan simply deflected them with her ki. "He's four years in the future right now," Katar continued, "Trying to screw up the course of history. He decided to try and destroy the powers of Earth before they could resist him. He's the ruthless tyrant that took over this planet fifty years in the future. We were going to go pick up some friends of ours and return home. You'd better hope for your sake that you didn't kill Kairin." "He's alive," Goti said, "I can sense his ki." "Why should I believe you?" Kone said, folding her arms over her chest. "Because," Katar said, "You will die if you continue to attack. Now listen here, sorceress, revive him." "I will not help those that slaughter my people," Kone spat. "We have slaughtered none," Katar said, her glare growing stronger, "We were defending this planet. Every instance that a Hermalan died was in defense of either ourselves or the inhabitance of this planet. And whether you believe me or not isn't important. You either revive him or you die." Kone scowled. Blue stars moved from her hands to Kairin, enveloping him in light as he was brought to his feet. His eyes slowly opened and the light faded. "Did you get the number of that bus?" he said, looking around. "If you don't believe the story," Elohssa said to Kone, "Then come back with us to face your emperor in the future. You will gain an entirely different outlook on him." "If you lie," Kone said, "I will kill you in an instant. I do not accept trickery." The heroes gathered around the time matrix and placed their hands upon it. Kone hesitantly followed suit and they were gone from that part of history.

Vixion charged a mass of ki and hurled it at Goten, rushing at him simultaneously. Goten knocked the blast away and flew in to land a punch to Vixion's chest. The hermalan ignored the blow and hit Goten with a left hook. Goten staggered before he was hit in the shoulder with a blow from Vixion's other hand. He spun to the ground, certain that his clavical had been cracked. Goten rolled out of the way of Vixion's next blast, getting to his feet and transforming into a super saiyan. Goten gave a shout and flew at Vixion with a mass of energy before him. There was an accented impact when they hit, Goten beginning to throw attack after mighty attack at the hermalan warrior. Vixion blocked some blows, deliberately showing the limited amount of effort involved. The Hermalan had the advantage in power, probably in speed as well. But Vixion was a proffessional, and toying with the saiyan was not the primary objective of the mission. He would suffer. There was no doubt about that, but there would be no foolish mistakes. Vixion gave a kick, knocking Goten back. Goten jumped up and farther back, bringing his hands together in the legendary position. "Kamehameha!" he shouted, thrusting the energy wave at Vixion. The Hermalan easily sidestepped this blast and released a small beam of gold toward Goten. This beam hit Goten's right shoulder and caused him to fall to his knees, agony filling him as his aura dimmed. "I see you've met my night mare beam," Vixion said, standing over Goten with a hidious smile, "It's exceptionally good at causing pain. But of course, a saiyan such as yourself will be able to avoid any real harm from it. Oh, but I bet that it hurts like hell, doesn't it?" Vixion laughed evilly. "Come on, Goten!" Kikyo cried from where she stood several yards away. Kupid raised a free hand to fire at her. Goten screamed and got into the air, his aura blazing large and golden around him as he flew at the Hermalans that held Dende. Vixion was in his path with a leering smirk on that loathsome Hermalan face. Vixion threw a punch. Goten blocked, his arm throbbing from the force of it. He threw a punch with his other hand,, not harming Vixion in the least. Expecting this, Goten brought his other arm up to strike, blocking Vixion's next blow with it as well. He brought his fist down, releasing a small blast before kneeing Vixion in the stomach. The hermalan moved back slightly before launching a series of attacks on Goten. The son of Goku struggled to defend himself against these attacks, unable to withstand them all.

Idabab rushed into the trone room and knelt before the emperor. "I have grave news, sire," he said. "And?" the emperor said, waiting to hear the wizard's words. "Kone has disappeared altogether," he explained, "And so have the fighters that are constantly movng in and out of focus. They have done something with her." "Those foolish barbarions!" the emperor growled, slamming his staff on the ground and cracking the tile beneath it, "We will teach them to mess with the Hermalans! Some day, we will dominate that world! Mark my words, the Hermalan empire will rule!"
