Goti forced a massive wave of Chaos Energy at the Rogue, chipping pieces away at a rapid rate, until it collapsed in a heap of rubble.

"I'm sorry," he told it as he lifted it's head out of the pile of cracked stones. "But we must get through. If we do not... well, the whole universe may pay the price."

<Very well,> the Rogue said, the voice arriving directly in the trio's heads. <It must be so.>

"Thank you," Goti replied, setting the head down on top the pile of rubble and releasing his hold on the Chaos Energy. "I'll see what I can do about your condition on my way out, but for now, we don't have the time."

<We must go into the blue disk,> Meta told the group. Vahn turned to see a blue portal on the far side of the tower, shimmering faintly as if it were light filtering through several feet of water. They stepped into the void, one after another and arrived in a contorted world of shimmering lights and pulsing walls and floors. <Seru-Kai,> Meta whispered, as if remembering a far off dream. <I can feel the Time Matrix over by the Grand Genesis Tree. It is like a hole in the energies of Seru-Kai. We must go there!>

<You are not permitted to pass here, human,> the pile of rocks that was formerly the Rogue said to a red-haired man that teleported to the top of the tower via the teleportation circles below.

"Shut up," Songi replied, firing a blast of energy at the Rogue, destroying what was left of it. "Those fools have lead me directly to Seru-Kai..." With a maniacal laugh, he waited at the blue portal for a moment or two, giving the others enough time to get slightly ahead of him.

"Something I can help you with?" The driver was well built and sported a heavy tan. His hair was a bit long, but there were threads of gray amid the otherwise wavy strands of brown.

"Well," Kejek started, "I take it you know that the Earth's been through a lot of chaos over the past..."

"Oh yeah," the man answered, cutting Kejek off, "You'd have to be a rock not to notice all of the fighting that's been going on."

"So," Kejek continued, "A member of the Freedom Fighter Alliance sent us to find the missing fragments of a powerful artifact to help in what's likely to follow."

"Can you tell me this guy's name?"

"He went by Adam Park," Kejek replied, "And..."

"Ah, yes!" the driver cut off the power to the vehicle, then threw up a hand in triumph. "And he has the other two, doesn't he?"

"Umm..." The driver flipped a switch and the passenger's door was unlocked.

"I've got the other crystal fragments," he said, "But I'm on my way to deal with an attack at the moment. You're free to come with me."

"We came from that battle," Kyu said, "Some gray guys were attacking a local Hermalyan occupation force."

"Putties," the driver said, "Do you know what they were after?"

"They were trying to get something the Hermalyans had," Shaoten answered, "Or at least that's what we've decided. Their leader heard us talking to the base and sent a couple of those putty guys after us."

"Heh, I can see that," the driver said, looking down the road, where a pair of sillhouettes were moving with mild confusion. "I figure they'd be smarter than to send just two, though."

"I take it you have experience with these guys?" Kyu asked.

"You might say that," the driver said, putting a hand on the controls for his door, "So, unless you guys have a plan..." he opened the door and stepped out onto the charred highway.

"If you've got the crystals," Kejek said, "We should take them and get out of here."

"Ah, I could use the exercise," the man said, stepping toward the putties, who by now had started running toward their targets. One of the putties lunged, but the man kicked it aside with no visible effort. The other came in to attack from the side, but the man grabbed its attacking hand and flipped it to the ground.

"I forgot how weak you guys can be," he said, smiling at the fallen putty, "Save yourself some pain and tell Zedd and Rita that Tommy's back." The putty that had been kicked was back on its feet, but the man quickly spun and kicked it through a nearby tree. Both putties then disappeared in yellow sparks.

OOC: Dun dun duuunnn!!! For now "the driver" can have no-owner status like Dende and a couple others, so long as a newby doesn't randomly jump in and make him do something stupid. ^^.

"When it rains, it pours," Clidax muttered in dismay as he turned his head toward the smoldering ruins of the Temple of Terra Dax. He all but ignored Kone's comment. She had already decided to decline his offer, yet she had made no hostile actions up to the moment. "I have half the mind to send Commando Joe to go and clean up his own mess, but I doubt the fool could handle it."

Morlagan and Fralagan were both on the receiving end of the worst of the battle at the moment, which deepened Clidax's frown into a complete scowl. "Morlagan! Fralagan! Quit toying around. We've got even more 'company' waiting in Terra Dax's Temple now." They nodded at his barked order, but Clidax knew the truth... they weren't holding back. Before too long, he would have to step into the battle.

Gotenks did not allow Krysalor to plan his actions, chosing to rush at the Klidorian warrior with his fists flying, striking repeatedly. Krysalor pulled back, but found himself pressed up against the wall before ducking a blow aimed directly at his head. Gotenks's fist cracked the wall of unknown substance, but did not break through it. Reacting on the opening, Krysalor kicked off the wall with both feet, tackling Gotenks. They both tumbled across the floor and through a piece of machinery, which exploded as they bounced out of the other side.

"You're not as tough as that Aldran kid made it sound," Gotenks sneered as he found himself with the upper hand in the struggle. The Saiyan drove his fist into Krysalor's chest again, pinning him to the ground as the rolling stopped. With few options left, Krysalor grabbed Gotenks by the head and slammed it down on top his own. Gotenks fell back, blinking away stars for a brief second before kicking Krysalor back while the Klidorian attempted to stand up.

"That's enough!" the Klidorian shouted as an explosive bubble of raw energy radiated from him, securing room for him catch his breath for a moment. "I'm glad you've enjoyed yourself so far, Saiyan, because now I'm about to tear you up, bub!" The cracks in Krysalor's torso and chest fused back together, creating a fresh crystaline body. Two large crystals rose from his shoulder blades, rising until they were nearly higher than the top of his head. His color shifted from a pale orange to nearly completely clear as new crystal growth sprouted from his knees and elbows, forming crystal blades about half a foot long each. Smaller crystal spikes formed on his knuckles, each on around an inch long and very sharp.

In a blur of motion, Krysalor darted from his energy bubble, raising his palm and striking Gotenks on the bridge of his nose. The Saiyan recoiled as his head snapped back, bringing his arm up to block a second strike before phasing out of view for a split second. He appeared above Krysalor, aiming a kick in between Krysalor's shoulder crystals, but the Klidorian also vanished. He returned to view several paces away, a smirk covering his crystaline face. "Looks like you can't hold up against me anymore, bub. Surrender to me and I'll make sure my torture sessions last less than an hour each."

Can I assume this was the last post for the Gotenks and Krysalor fight? If so, then I'd like to post for it...

Yeah, that was the last one for the fight itself, though there has been at least 1 more for the area... not sure that that will matter just yet though.

Oh, and don't forget that Krysalor absorbs and reflects energy blasts... just so we keep the established stuff straight? And... I look forward to your post!

OOC: Man, I forgot that using the recent posts page doesn't un-new threads. ^^

There are two or three moves I could make now, but I get a feeling that should wait... so... umm... Chapter break time?

Because, umm, our chapter breaks are only up-to-date around the end of the Goken/Cyba fight, aren't they?

Bardock's "fought for redemption" scene seems chapter-break-ish.

The beginning of the final Cyba/Cort fight has a start-of-chapter feel to it, but I'm not sure that what preceeds it is a good place to end the chapter.

Somehow I get the feeling that one of Gotenks/Goton training scenes should start a chapter.

I think Blot and Miliardo busting into the palace on Tecarlin is a good Chapter ending point? Maybe?

Shairo and At fusing to fight Shadow Walker.

The end of the UAE returns + Last time we've seen Katar scene?

Goken entering the ship to go find Kikyo?

The last scene on Klidore just before Terra Dax starts breaking things... like... somewhere in the summoning.

And ... that's all I can think of right now. Explosively massive RPGs make head asplode.

And I just thought of a reason that Kairin's "transformation" could be reversed during saga1, but I'm just going to ignore all references to his apparent age because... umm... that can be easily edited around. Then again... *cries at not being able to do his voice anymore*.

Crud, we need a "end of saga 1 " document, don't we? Since we're still editing chapters 7-10 or so, I guess I can work on that...

"Surrender?" Gotenks scoffed at the idea. "You expect someone like me to surrender to someone like you? Honestly, just because you've powered up to a crystal freak doesn't mean you've already won the battle." The Saiyan then back flipped a few times so that he was a far enough distance away from Krysalor. "If you want a battle of power, then you've come to the right person! Let me show you just what true power really is!!!"

"HYAA!!!!" With an earsplitting yell, Gotenks's body burst in an explosion of gold ki surrounded by sparks of electricity. Inside the chaotic aura, Gotenks's spiky golden hair began slowly but surely to lengthen until it reached down to his waist line. As his hair grew, his eyebrows completely disappeared, and his muscles became much more defined and toned. The transformation, though not as impressively different as Krysalor's, was complete - Gotenks had achieved the stage of Super Saiyan 3.

"So," Gotenks state with his usual cocky grin, "if this isn't powerful enough, then just tell me. I'm sure that I can match your power if I have to." The formerly fused Saiyan cracked his knuckles eagerly. "How about we restart this fight?"

Hehhe... sorry that there was no action... I kind of want to see what you do with Krysalor first before I do anything too drastic.

Krysalor suppressed a scowl, ignoring the slight imbalance of power. Gotenks was stronger than him now, but power itself was never enough. And the line of seperation was small.

"You let your hair go berserk and lost your eyebrows and call it a transformation?" Krysalor taunted as he let energy dance along his fingertips. "Bub, you're all kinds of screwy. Might as well get this battle over with... I've got other matters to attend to now, it seems." Krysalor threw himself at Gotenks, but was forced to dodge before he could land a blow, since the Super Saiyan Three had aimed an elbow strike directly at his forehead.

Gotenks had gained more than just strength, Krysalor realized; he had also gained speed as well. The Saiyan smacked a punch aside with the palm of his hand and leaned left to avoid a kick before counterattacking savagely, forcing Krysalor to dodge once more.

Nearly dead even... Krysalor needed a plan.

I'll post tonight for Klidore if I find the time after work. I kinda sorta started on one a few minutes ago, but I have to get moving and wouldn't be able to get it done...

Fralagan tried to regain normal breathing as she and Miliardo battled back and forth. She knew the only way to win the battle was to do just as Clidax had ordered... release the restrictions she had placed on her energy output. In a raging blaze of energy, she did just that, throwing Miliardo back and forcing him to dig his sword into the floor in an effort to stop his motion.

She hated how he did not seem afraid, even though her power was substantially higher than his. Firing an energy blast through his left shoulder made her feel a little better, although it would have been much more satisfying had he yelped out in pain instead of drawing power into his bent sword in retaliation.

"Fool! Death would be a release for you!" she shouted as he raised the sword above his head, fury trumping all else on his face. She brought her hand up again to fire another beam at him, to kill him.

"Shazooran Burst!" Miliardo shouted first, washing Fralagan's energy beam away in a torrent of energy that pummeled her until they were both on their knees; both incapable of continuing any further. "Rot in Hell." Miliardo gasped as he tried in vain to gather more energy to repeat his attack before collapsing on the ground.

Gohan flew in through the opening of the balcany, tossing an unconscious Morlagan down in front of Clidax. "You should have never sent your minions to Earth, Clidax," Gohan said weakly as he touched down on the floor several feet from the man. "You brought this all upon yourself."

Clidax's grimace showed in full force as he hefted his large sword over his shoulder and kicked Morlagan's body out of the way. "Commando Joe!" he shouted down the hallway, promptly summoning the man. Commando Joe glared at Gohan and Miliardo as he entered the room, a dangerous look passing over his face as he thought for a moment that he might get to finish the two warriors. "Get the space pirate twins into stasis tubes, now."

"Sir, this fool is below you; if you would allow me..."

"Do as I said, idiot!" Clidax barked back, his scowl deepening until it seemed to be Clidax's very being. "I want to finish this myself..."

OOC: I'm not 100% sure this is such a good idea just yet, but I'm going to do it anyways...

The blonde girl skipped to in front of Lord Zedd's throne as she danced about without giving any true regards to those around her. "How much longer, metal skeleton man?" she asked as she spun around, a playful smile on her face. "The Watchers... they call to us!" Her voice turned unnaturally deep in the middle of the sentence, deeper than most men achieve in their lifetime.

Zedd tapped his fingers impatiently on his stone chair, his red visor glowing slightly for a moment. "I'm beginning to wonder the same thing..." he growled before regaining control over his fury. "Those idiots had better make it snappy, or they'll wish we never created them..." He stood and walked over to the edge of the balcany and used his visor to zoom in on the events on Earth. "Are these Watchers truly worth the time, Manah?"

She laughed and twirled once more, the deep laugh not meant for the nine-year-old's voice. "Speak not the Watchers." Her voice went high again at the next line. "They call to us, and their power is great, skeleton man."

"It's Zedd... Lord Zedd, girl!" His anger threatened to boil over once more. "It was bad enough that Rito couldn't get it right..."

OOC: Part of me thinks it might be about time for a Zedd-monster to show up at the Hermalyan facility. And that shall be left to Cajones... heh heh.

... And then, the explosive noise of air being shattered by intense combat alerted the group to an opening above. Though not in sight of the source of the disturbance, the agents were able to see three other figures in the area--a Sevan, and two that resembled Earthlings.

OOC: What did I accomplish? Not much. Umm... Yeah, this group of extras is in sight of Aldran, Ioru and Goton... but I can't seem to find a decent way for them to initiate anything (the situation at the moment doesn't lend itself to easily picking out investigative swatteam lines...). So... Yeah.
