Heh. The load begins to fall... , I'm still freaked out about homework this year. Everyone else is swamped... and unlike last year, most of it isn't doable in class, and yet I still have tons of free time... And one of the highest grades in math? ... but I digress... Enjoy your weekend, and maybe we can move the story along. Maybe by the time you get here, my site will be up at www.planetseva.com, but I have no guarantees of anything. Meep... I need to work on that! By the way: ^ OOC ^_^

"I don't think we've formally met, heroes," Alex said to the group gathered in front of the RDF base. "I am Alex, a leading member of the Resistance. I can tell that you are all powerful, yet I don't think I know you. Who are you guys?"
OOC: Just wanna find out who is here and keep the readers informed.
*****
"I'm running low on time," Cybtrenks thought to himself. "If I'm gonna do this, I can't waste a bit."
Cort smirked at his adversary. "Couldn't settle for the beating you recieved last time I was on Earth by the RDF? You had to come looking for more trouble from me? Idiots!"
At the last word, Cort and Juggernaut struck out against Cybtrenks in unison. Cybtrenks faded out and returned a little ways away, countering with a punch that hit nothing but air.
"Sit this one out, my pet," Cort said to Juggernaut. "I want to handle this myself." As he lept off Juggernaut's back, he allowed his powerlevel to rise.
No one moved for several seconds. The combatants had their eyes locked on one another.
Pressed for time, Cybtrenks rushed Cort. They exchanged a chain of close to light speed punches, neither one really landing a decent blow on the other.
"Tick Tock," Cort whispered to Cybtrenks. Almost as the words were uttered, Cyba and Trunks were split from each other. "Now you stand no chance!" Cort reached into his cloak and pulled out a small creature.
"Sim Seru!" Cyba shouted!
It was too late...
Cort touched Cyba with his creature, giving his mind over to the Sim Seru to control.
"Nooooo!" Trunks yelled in dispair. **** OOC: don't have anyone fight Cyba yet. I'm going to try and kill some time.

Cyba's eyes turned green as his hair flickered to gold. The Sim Seru had a deep hold on his mind, controlling everything.
Emporer Cort felt many other semi-high powerlevels inside his castle. "Juggernaut, care to take out the others? I'm sure Cyba can deal with Trunks." Juggernaut vanished, obeying its master's command.
The mind controlled Cyba slowly walked over to Trunks, who was shaking in disbelief. Insanity was in Cyba's eyes; the kind that has no remorse for terrible deeds.
With one hand, Cyba grabbed Trunks by the throat and lifted him off the ground.
"Cyba..." Trunks gasped.
The only response was a deep, cruel laugh. "Never again," he said, throwing his ex-comrade into the Mist Generator force field.
Trunks recovered as quickly as he could. "I have to fight him," he said to himself. "I've never won a fight against Cyba for as long as I've known him. I'll see you soon, mother and father." Going Super Saiyan had always been easy for Trunks. Now, with all the fresh pain and hatred, he hadn't even realized he had done it.
Again, Cyba was slowly approaching Trunks. But Cyba was changing. He was turning green and growing exponentially in power.
"Great," Trunks thought. "He's turning freakin' Chaotic."
"Nice puppet work, Cort," Trunks yelled.
"NEVER CALL ME THAT!" the emporer raged, rushing at Trunks. Waiting for the right moment, Trunks punched the emporer straight into Cyba.
With quick reflexes, Cyba caught his new ruler and put him back on his feet. "Stay out of my way, your highness."
"Arrogant Saiyan," the emporer muttered. Both of them rushed at Trunks in the same instant.
With a bright flash of light, Cyba and Cort were both on the ground.
"Who..." Cort began.
"Vahn!" Trunks yelled happily.
"Two against one didn't sound too fair to me," Vahn, one of Cyba and Trunks's Legaian friends said. "Ready to knock this fiendish king off his throne Meta?" Vahn spoke to the Ra-Seru attached to his arm.
<Always. Let's do this!> Meta replied.
"Who else is going to invade my castle today?" Cort fumed.
"Noa and Gala are on Legaia defeating your Leutenant Zeto right now. I came over by using a Door of Wind. Your end is near, Cort."

... Wow! You're good! I'm pressed for time right now... but I should have this completed in at least ten minutes... *looks at time* *** Having been expecting some sort of ambush from Hermalan warriors, the appearance of Alex was both a relief and surprise to the assembled heros. "Greetings, Alex," Yabu spoke, making a slight movement forward, "I assume that you are not here as a Hermalan diversion, certainly with the whole of us here." After a momentary silence, Shaoten spoke: "That's just like you, Dad, not to answer the question! He's a powerful saiyan spector called Yabu, and I am his daughter, Shaoten. Don't ask me how he managed to have kids as a ghost..." "And I'm her brother, Kyu," her twin added. "Alex... I think I may have seen you once or twice on the battlefield. I'm Shairo." "Who happens to be another son of a ghost saiyan..." Katarspoke up, "Namely me. If youwant a name, call me Katar." "And it's Kairin," the now much-smaller light-wielder spoke, "Don't remember if we've met before... but you wouldn't recognize me now that I've undergone a... Little Transformation. Really, it's not as though I'd wear this charred, iron-ladened excuse for armor during a battle for my health..." "And I am Elohssa," the cyborg interrupted, well aware of the awkward cut off that was inevitable had Kairin been left to finish his statements, "Despite my outward appearance, I was once a saiyan as well, though it seems that our paths were destined for collision..." "In my meditations," the Hermalan witch spoke, "I saw him coming. It was shortly before being summoned. Tell me, one called Elohssa, if it was not the rotund blue-skinned conquerer that moved for Hermalya prior to my departure thatdoomed you to your form?" There was an odd silence, the introductions seeming half lost. "Fat, blue, and neckless," Elohssa said, his single lidless eye turned on Kone, "Sir. X, hater of Frieza, though his equal in evil andarrogant foolishness." "And that leaves..." Shaoten muttered, looking over those present, "... Changing boy. What was your name anyway?" "At,"Shairo said, looking around to find him among the others, "Whatever brought you here, I can't say that I sympathize with it all that much." "Alex..." Goten said, somewhat entranced. Up until then, he had been gazing silently at the newcomer, his mind somewhat distant. "Alex, do you know what's happened to Gohan?" * ... Ok, as I was waiting for theseven minutes that it took to get back, I again began pondering something... As G0tenks may know, I have looked deep into the bowels of what Powerpoint can provide, trying tofind means of simplifying my games. Yeah, I like to use PPT to make video games, though making reasonable and condensed ones is difficult. (Currently I'm working on getting a 2-player fighting game to work! Revolutionary, for me anyway). What I was thinking about was if we could possibly make some sort of PPT game based off of this RPG (After we've gotten the fic made uniform, of course). There are lots of difficulties and thought that'd be involved, and I'd rather not go into those at the moment... but I thought I'd put the thought out there. I think that if we play our cards right, we could come up with something completely worthy... but it'd be challenging to produce, as I've said. I'll make some notes on it nee? After all, we're all busy now adays.

The sudden apparition, though they were alert for surprises, was nonetheless shocking. It appeared mere millimeters before them, the corridor bulging as debris crumbled into the blackness to make room for it. They all jumped backward, Goti's hand raised and glowing. "What is that thing!" Rani exclaimed, gazing upon the massive head of the sim-seru juggernaut. "What grabbed the time matrix," Goti observed. Little more discussion could occur, for juggernaut quickly began the attack with its breath. In a flash, Goti had sent a tsunami-like rush of energy backward, hurling the twins down the crumbling corridor as the son of Cyba shielded himself as best he could, rising a meter or so into the air as he forced back juggernaut's attack. "There's no room in here!" Liquaro observed with alarm, "This place will collapse!" "Then we'll have to make room," Goti commented. With a thought his hair was illuminated with golden light, a scarcely visible aura of energy expanding about him to knock away the rimnent of the shattered walls, chunks of stone falling to the cracked ground between his ethereal image and the twins, who were now half trapped in the more stable, though still dangerous, part of the corridor. Goti kept his gaze on Juggernaut, waiting for it to move. He hardly wanted to risk causing the castle to collapse, so he was in need of another means of taking care of the thing.

You know what I've realized? A Goken Vs Cybtrenks battle actually makes a lot of sense:
I don't think Gotenks has seen Cyba, though he probably knows about him since the emperor (The double or the real one?) after Cyba and Trunks lost to Dashyr. At any rate, I don't know if Goken would Recognize him... Meh, anyway, Goken and Cybtrenks are the two people that the emperor fears the most as far as we can see, and with one ofthem under his control, ... see, it works out. But that's not all! Since Gotenks materialized with the combined essence of Goten and Trunks, we have another interesting little situation: If Gotenks is destroyed, Goten and Trunks regain their full abilities, but as we've seen they aren't as powerful (The combined powers is greater than the sumof its parts! Captain Planet!). If Goten, Trunks, or a fusion with one of them in it is destroyed, their soul would be drawn to the other part of it within Gotenks, so after thirty minutes the bit of the other one will return to the survivor and Gotenks's body will be inhabited by the destroyed one, and of course will be weaker (Stronger than the one that died, but weaker than Gotenks was before). So you see, if either one of them is destroyed (Assuming Cyba ends up fusing with Trunks), the Emperor wins 2fold.

OOC: As of right now, I have no intention of making the Trunks from my time line fuse with the Sim Seru possesed Cyba. But if Goten were to die, then Trunks could fuse with the alternate reality version of himself and that could be just as interesting.
As far as Juggernaut goes, he is a beast as big as a house, but he can sink into solid matter and that will make him seem smaller (if you've ever heard of Legend of Legaia, you know what I am talking about). His basic attack involves shooting a huge energy beam from his mouth, but he can also open up portals and appear nearly anywhere. He is nearly invincible on the outside, but I have an idea of how to beat him (it runs paralell with Legend of Legaia). So for now, just keep everyone alive and after a short time, make them retreat to the Mist Generator hall.
***
"Tornado Flame!" Vahn shouted as his arm caught fire. He twisted his body in midair, landing a fierce uppercut on the Emporer.
"You little rat!" the Emporer fumed. "I hate you and your Ra-Seru friends. Rot in Hell!!!" As he was talking, he let loose a deadly magic attack that blasted Vahn high up in the air.
Trunks wasn't fairing much better. Cyba had always been stronger than him, but with the power increase given by the Sim-Seru, he was out of Trunks's league completely. *** Don't wanna work on this any more tonight... Sorry!

OOC: I've got an idea! I think it might serve to brew some time on Earth, but then again... I'm not that sure... * The countless explosions and changes in powerlevels were easily detectible from the lone space station that floated, shielded from detection, around Earth's neighboring planet of Mars. For the past few years it had served as a secret refugee center, though it could only hold so many people. It had come as an urgent gift from a group of escaped warriors and scientists from various worlds that the Hermalans had conquered, though they had not arrived in time to put their technology to use at stopping the invasion of Earth. Now, with what was undoubtedly intense and decisive violence taking place on the once blue and green planet, the leaders on the space station were forced to come to a decision. "Something truly important appears to be happening on the planet," the leader among them reaffirmed, "And with what appears to be the decimation of ninety percent of the Hermalan army, we have an opportune and excellent time to take action." "But father," the teenaged metamorese warrior that was the leader's son spoke, "Appearing out of nowhere will only alert the RDF and the Emperor's elites of our presence. We do not have the power to defeat just one of them!" "You are our best warrior, Marakkas," the leader said, "Yet you have not faced the Hermalans in battle. Sadly, I must agree that you are correct in your analysis." "Then what shall we do?" a lone human on the counsel interjected, "We can protect the sanctuary without waiting in the dark for the light to come. Surely at least one of us should do something to ensure the empire's defeat." The human's words were met with a rustle of agreement from the others. "He has a point," Marakkas spoke over the noise, "It is cowardly to do nothing. It is just as foolish though to run into battle." "Perhaps it would be wiser," Marakkas's father said thoughtfully, "To bring aid to those that are outside of the battle." "Do you speak of the fused one?" a new member of the crowd asked. "The one who appears to stand at the grave of now six warriors of the RDF," the leader answered, "He is one of the most powerful yet observed, but his power increases weaken his fusion abilities. If we can provide this warrior with the training necessary to keep the entirety of the time in which fusion works while using the full of his power, the Hermalan empire will fall." More talking rose among the assembled. "Do you think there is enough time?" the human asked, "Where are the other fighters?" "The others have just made a move for the RDF's headquarters," Marakkas's father answered, "Perhaps they can survive long enough for our great fusion to learn the deepest secrets of fusion. I dare say that he is our greatest hope." "And what if the other strong ones can fuse?" the human asked. "None are similar enough in abilities," Marakkas explained, "Some are close, but they lal have differences that are detectible from here." "Then we must teach the strong one," a Namek said with definitive decision. "Are we agreed?" The leader asked. The counsel all gave a unified cry of "Yes!". "So be it," the leader continued, "Prepare my shuttle for immediate departure." "You're going?" Marakkas suddenly burst, "You can't be serious! Father, you have neither fought nor fused in countless years of any planet. Let me go. You are a leader; I am a warrior." "I will not debate this with you," the leader said with a sigh, "There is not enough time to argue with an adolescent. Go if you will, but mind your mission." Marakkas stood and bowed to his father. "I will not fail you," he said dutifully, "I promise you that." "With you goes our wills," his father said loudly. Ceremoniously, those gathered repeated the phrase. Marakkas was then escorted to the launch bay of the station. At last, the time was upon him. * ... Don't do anything at the RDF base yet. Gotenks and Goton can do anything for now as long as it doesn't take them to the base... but this post is only half of my idea; I'm just pressed for time at the moment.

- ok, for this next part to work, I need to make a brief interruption in the Trunks/Cyba situation, but it shouldn't have a big effect on the way it's going; just let things move elsewhere. * After a moment of Goti's faceoff, Juggernaut vanished from sight. It wasn't that hard to determine where the creature had gone, since the corridor behind Goti was blocked off. The muffled shouts of warning from the twins managed to reach Goti's part saiyan ears, but he had already caught the attack and quickly turned. Juggernaut moved back a bit, causing some debris to fall onto Goti as another of the breath attacks lanced at the twins. They quickly jumped aside, both using instant transmission to appear below Goti and deliver their own blast to Juggernaut from behind. Juggernaut sank a little into the cracked floor and turned, firing another attack that sent the twins flying into the hole in the floor behind them. "Leave them out of this," Goti commented, the aura around him intensifying as he plunged for Juggernaut. His fist met the creature's head, but had little effect. Juggernaut pulled back, Goti's momentum sending him flying into it. Juggernaut then lurched forward, causing Goti to fly toward the hole where the twins had fallen. He caught himself just as they rose from the depths, all three of them a bit shaken up. "Ten seconds in and I'm tired of this fight," Liquaro said, letting his gaze move to include all those in the area. "I have to agree," Rani added. "Be careful," Goti instructed, powering up for another attack. As he did so, Juggernaut attacked again with the deadly breath, the twins struggling to keep it at bay long enough for Goti to gather energy. * He could have laughed at the luck. Everything was going in the perfect way. He had made no plans, but if he had, the current situation would have been the perfect one. He had a small window of opportunity though, and he had to act fast if he wanted to take advantage of it. * The struggle between Trunks and the Sim-seru controlled Cyba didn't appear to be getting any better. Not only that, but Trunks found himself encountering another problem. Without warning, a figure appeared behind the saiyan allies forced into battle, wielding what appeared to be the Emperor's staff. He quickly dealt a blow to Trunks's head, the staff glowing as it held fast to him. "What!" Cort shouted, taking his eyes off Vahn's fate long enough to observe the intruder. "My appologies, your highness," the newcomer spoke, "But I require your weapon to take care of the traitor." He pulled back the now dull staff. "He's all yours, Cyba." With that, the intruder vanished.

OOC: Ignore my last comment about the base; I'll deal with that later, and besides, the part we stopped at really isn't my place to do anything (Unless I'm making a dramatic interruption... prolonging the answer? O.O...). What I have in mind should set some things in motion and should buy plenty of time for things to happen. Well... on with the show! * With the technology of uncounted civilizations at his back, Marakkas made his way across the relatively short amount of space between the space sanctuary and the occupied planet. The ship quickly began to slow as it entered the atmosphere, flames alight around it with the friction of entry. 'Only a few more moments,' he thought, 'Then... I'll finally be able to say I've done something with my life. I will not fail you, father.' But as he thought this, his decelerating spacepod gave a jolt. It took a moment's thought to realize that the interior of the ship was blazing, the displays in the ship's front now shattered against Marakkas's helmet. The ship had been hit by something, and it was shooting way off course. Taking far too long to come up with his strategy, Marakkas forced himself against the motion of the ship, blasting his way out of the dented back as the ship plowed into the crater-filled landscape below. The young metamarese warrior drifted slowly to the ground, exercising his control over is energy as best he could in the sudden environment. His feet touching the battle-torn land with a gentle, almost comforting indication of hope, Marakkas allowed his senses to engage. He could feel the energy of the great dead saiyan to the north, along with several other energies, one that he had come to believe held relations to the legendary Kakkarat. To the southeast, he could feel two, seemingly equivalent powerlevels, resting near a smaller, though admirable energy signature that reminded him of... "You alright down there?" The call came from the sky, echoing over the broken land. Marakkas looked up, catching sight of a figure in the sky. It descended, its design becoming more distinct. It appeared to be a lavender-haired saiyan, a staff in hand, with a look on his face that was... "You're alive," the man said, "Good. After that explosion, I couldn't be too sure..." "How do you know that I am not an enemy?" Marakkas asked, "Your defenses are low. I could take you easily if I wanted to." "Sorry, Metamar boy," the man replied, "But you don't exactly seem strong enough to do that much damage to me." "Wait..." Marakkas said, realization beginning to dawn on him, "You wouldn't happen to be the son of the saiyan prince Vegeta would you?" "Yes," he answered, "The name is Trunks. I take it you heard of my battles while I was in exile?" "You are a whisper of legend across the galaxy," Marakkas answered, "The Hermalan empire is farspread, though now its forces are beginning to recede." "They aren't done yet," the one calling himself Trunks said with an almost grave tone, "And there are even greater threats waiting right in their midsts." "Greater?" Marakkas asked, "What is there that deadly that we haven't detected yet?" "Oh, you've probably detected it," Trunks explained, "But I doubt you'd have realized how big a threat it is." "What is it?" Marakkas asked, "We have to be ready..." He then remembered his mission, a bit ashamed at his constant slowness to realize. "I nearly forgot! It doesn't matter if we can help perfect the perfect fusion!" "The perfect fusion!" Trunks said, seeming to show signs of alarm, "You mean those two saiyan powers to the southeast? The ones that have been fighting against the RDF?" "Yes," Marakkas answered, "Their powers... their makeup... even without seeing them, all that can sense energy can see that they are the perfect fusion." "You don't understand..." Trunks said, now urgent, "That "perfect fusion" is the threat." * Heh... it's kind of obvious what's going on now, huh? I hope to deepen it a bit... but not to detract from the main story. It does give us some room to expand on some things to come, and it gives us a couple of new faces. Well... meh.

OOC: Ok, I've almost got things going. ^_^. Oh, and that last post is probably a nice place for a chapter break... Ok, I'm going to go through with this... then it's somebody else's turn. * "What!" Marakkas gasped, "You've got to be kidding! He's been fighting along side the other warriors all this time..." "You have only detected power readings," Trunks explained, "That fusion hasn't been fighting with them, just in the same areas and times because of his foes. He's been helping to take down the RDF so that they can't resist him. Even the emperor is afraid of him." "But what's he up to?" Marakkas pressed on, "How do you know he's to be feared?" "Didn't you notice how he just seemed to appear here?" Trunks said, "Only a few hours ago? That's no coincidence. Cyba and I intercepted him on our way out of exile. He found out about the situation on Earth and realized that the empire was his greatest obstacle to achieving his ultimate victory." "And what about Cyba?" Marakkas asked, "Is he not the saiyan from the colony that discovered the Ni asyas?" "That's him," Trunks answered, "We decided it was best to split up; he went off to Hermalya to confront the emperor, and I came to see what I could do about our "Perfect fusion"." Marakkas could scarcely come up with anything to say. If what Trunks was saying was true, then what had he come for? Had he come to train a great evil? If so, he should have been thankful to have encountered Trunks when he did. The consequences could have been... But he could not think of that. "What can we do?" the Metamarese warrior asked. "We can share our power," Trunks answered. He raised the staff and brought it down on Marakkas's shoulder. The young fighter flinched at first, but as the staff glowed, he relaxed. "This should greatly increase our abilities," Trunks explained. The glowing stopped and Trunks withdrew the staff. "I don't feel any different," Marakkas observed. "Not now," Trunks said, "But just try to attack me and you'll notice a difference." "Attack you?" Marakkas said, not sure of what Trunks wanted. "Call it a test," Trunks said, "Our enemy will move any moment now. It'd be a good idea to test out our abilities while we have the chance. Go ahead and attack." Marakkas hesitated, then he lunged at Trunks. The lavender-haired warrior instantly phased away, but in the same instant Marakkas flipped backward, kicking Trunks in the chest as he came around him. The metamarese warrior then spun and delivered a few ki blasts that struck Trunks in the torso before the surprised saiyan managed to move and kick Marakkas between the shoulder blades. Marakkas staggered and turned, only to be met with a fist to his head that sent his helmet flying. His target now exposed, Trunks quickly moved around and struck Marakkas in the back of the head with the staff. The Metamarese warrior stumbled forward, tottered for a moment, then collapsed. "You've failed the test," Trunks said to the unconscious warrior. He flew over and picked up Marakkas's helmet and returned it to its owner's head. He then stood and vanished. * OOC: That did take a fair bit of time, but I think I can get the next part to work without screwing anything up. Let me know if I do... BIC: * After several seconds of silence, Kikyo sighed and shook her head. They couldn't just wait there. The emperor had to be stopped. "I think I can sense them to the north..." Goton said, looking off in that direction. "Yeah," Gotenks agreed, "And something else..." Before Gotenks could finish his thought, the air around them was violently disturbed. Kikyo gave a shout as a Metamarese fist took hold of her throat. "It's time to go," the hand's owner whispered from below his helmet, his words plenty loud enough for the others to here. * Dun dun... Heh, bet you can figure that out...
