"Why do I want more power?" Clidax echoed, running his hand over his sword. "One can never be the strongest forever. Klidore has been abused by stronger powers for as long as written history can recall. Since I have come to power, my own father has attempted to bend the entire star system to his will. That will never happen again... not so long as I live. These people are valiant, and they deserve greatness. I aim to give it to them by making Klidore the strongest amongst the Unifyer's armies. And to do that... I need more power."

"It's Gohan," Trunks said, leaning against a shattered pillar and rubbing his temples. "He's got others with him as well. I want to go help, but none of us are in any condition to fight, not without some healing first. And even healing only gets us so far. There are some things that just need rest."
"Sounds like we should stay here then," Tratz said, some blue bruises forming on his pure white skin. The spikes retracted out of his back as his energy level dropped, signalling his fall from the Deamonous state.

As Fralagan turned her attention over to Liquaro for just long enough to bat him away, Miliardo put all his strength into pushing away from the wall, tackling the woman across the floor of Clidax's Tower.
Memories began to fill Miliardo's mind, things he had forgotten after the injury. What the injury was, he could not remember, but he did recall Clidax finding him next to death with a promise to save him if he agreed to work for him. Clidax had kept his end of the deal then, and so did Miliardo, until the battle with Gohan on Tecarlin.
"You... you didn't need to kill them!" he shouted as he and Fralagan regained their footing. "They were just children!" He rushed at her again, a rage searing his insides until he felt as if he would vomit. Miliardo landed a succession of punches on his foe, each one driven by blind fury.
After several years, Miliardo remembered who he was, truly. He finally remembered why he needed to fight.

OOC: I'm guessing we're really close to operation storm the heck out of Klidore, but as I'm still unsure on exactly what I'm going to do and I don't want to rush what you have going... umm... Eh, I'll let the post speak for itself.
*****
Elohssa had been describing the events leading up to his becoming a cyborg to a Tecarlin technition, getting close to explaining how Mogayu had come to despise him, when the clearing static bombarding his long-range scanners was pierced by a chord of energy--distant, masked in clouds of stars, but great enough to identify at least one of the sources.
"Gohan's got the rings back," Goten commented from nearby, his face lighting up with a grin.
"I don't think so," Elohssa said, taking a couple steps toward Goten, "He does seem to have gained something that boosts his energy output, but it is different from anything I've detected before. Actually, it seems to have a hint of a Tecarlin component."
"Either way," Goten said as though Elohssa's statement had been about a third its actual length, "He's not alone. Hey... are we clear to teleport up there now? That's around the same place that Trunks and the others wound up."
". . . I don't know. . . " It was Adam, talking to someone else while walking through the room--though the situation was relaxed, there was still enough alert for the large chamber to be noisy with people.
"More information on the search?" Elohssa asked. The spike from Klidore had kept his attention away from Kyu and Shaoten's quest for the moment.
"Hard to tell from here," Adam answered, "All of the fighting over the past couple years wasn't kind to our surface surveylence. But it's still clear that something's up."
"... I see," Elohssa had managed to get some readings on the others while Adam was talking. Although the shielding of the base blocked a lot of information, he could tell that there was indeed some sort of action near Kyu, Shaoten and Kejek--and from the looks of it, they weren't involved.
"I'm not sure what to make of what I'm getting," Elohssa anounced, "Even if I could get clearer information above, it wouldn't help much. It does seem that our searchparty is safe for the moment."
"I think Zedd's up to something," Adam said gravely, "And Goldar is still nearby, isn't he? I guess we just have to watch the situation until you guys can clean up on Klidore."
*********
Goldar could only snarl and move his sword to block Darkonda's attacks. For the moment, Goldar had the advantage in reach, but Darkonda's built up frustration was manifested in his rapid movements. A heavy blow from Goldar sent him back, only for Darkonda to vanish from sight. A burst of energy from the side caused Goldar to stumble back, Darkonda now atop a boulder.
"Your insolence will cost you dearly," Darkonda snarled, glowing tentacles firing from his outstretched arm and snaking rapidly for Goldar. The gold-clad warrior slashed at the tendrils frantically.
"Your rashness will get us all destroyed," Goldar yelled, "If it's an alliance you want, you're going to have to play smart!" Goldar locked his gaze on Darkonda and flaming bolts of energy shot from his eyes. Darkonda's tentacles withdrew as he brought up his shortsword to block the blast, giving Goldar the chance to take flight.
"Run for now," Darkonda sneered, "I will have the last laugh."
"If you could stay out of a fight for a few seconds, we might have caught them." It was Ecliptor, flanked by a group of quantrons.
"I see you didn't fare better, Ecliptor," Darkonda said, smirking.
"It's too late now," Ecliptor continued, "We'll have to return to the Dark Fortress and prepare our next course of action."
"There is much at work on Earth," Darkonda agreed, "But Earth isn't the only hotspot in the universe. This venture may have ended poorly, but victory will yet be mine."

... Well, Bleh, but you could have guessed that.

"You need allies, not just power," Kone said, observing the matches that were in progress, "Power alone is nothing if you make enemies of others that have similar strength." Kone's ears then registered the shouting between Fralagan and Miliardo. "And it seems you've done a good job of making enemies that you didn't need."
The next thing that caught Kone's attention was the human twins. Liquaro and Rani had gotten up from their failed attempts at interfering in the fights, and were moving toward each other, putting them not too far from Kone and Clidax.
"It isn't going to work right if we use it again so soon," Rani said. Liquaro nodded.
"A distraction is better than nothing." Liquaro's answer was in agreement. He and Rani joined hands and faced the closest of the two duels.
"Taheea--" They spoke together, a dim glow starting to surround their hands. But before they could go further, a stray blast from Gohan and Morlagan's fight came toward them, forcing them to dive for cover.
"We have to get closer," Rani observed.
"Right," Liquaro agreed, jumping into the air with Rani. In a moment they both disappeared, reappearing closer to Morlagan and Gohan.
Unfortunately for them, the fight was hardly limited to one area, and it only took one small fall from one of the combatants--they were moving too quickly to tell which it was--to knock both of the humans out of the sky at a high speed.
*****
... *sigh*. Egh, it's something.

"Hey," Shaoten suddenly said, looking to Kejek, "Elohssa and Goten still have those coins you gave them, don't they?" "Unless they threw them out for some reason," Kejek answered, "What should we tell them, though?" "Well," Kyu said, "It's nice to be on the same playingfield... If they haven't left yet, and I don't think they have, we can figure out what to do here." "Coordination it is, then," Kejek said, withdrawing the golden coin from his pocket and tapping it with his wand, "Hopefully we aren't wasting too much time." Then he frowned. "But they can't answer; we're going to rely on Dende to get any ideas." During the discussion, the battle had come to a momentary halt. The Hermalyan forces had pulled together and were apparently forming a strategy. The other side held its line, but wasn't entirely motionless, the odd babbling still audible--though it was far calmer than it had been. "I hope you're rehearsing your surrender," came the voice of the female leader of the unknown warriors. She was now visible in the middle of her troops, but her back was too Kyu, Shaoten and Kejek, making her golden armor the only identifying trait. <We've been able to learn a little about the situation.> It was Dende's voice, entering the minds of Kyu, Shaoten and Kejek in response to the coin message, <But we're still fuzzy on the details. We've decided that the Hermalyans probably have something that Lord Zedd wants.> "The Hermalyans are regrouping," Kejek explained, "If we're going to do something..." "You two, check out that noise!" It was the gold-clad leader of Zedd's forces. "... And apparently that makes us easier to hear," Kejek finished. <How far are you from the crystal fragments?> The group stepped back, ducking into the ditch, Kyu and Shaoten crouching between Kejek and the enemy. Kejek took a look at Adam's device. "They're definitely moving toward us," he answered, "Actually... if we wait a couple minutes they should be here. It's a safe bet that whoever has them is either aware of the battle, or in league with its participants." <Go for the crystals and get back,> Dende instructed, <We're free to move in on Klidore as soon as we have a strategy; we don't need to risk starting another battle on Earth.> "In that case we should run for it," Kyu said, "Those gray guys will spot us as soon as we move." "I can get us down the road," Kejek said, "But they'll hear for sure." "The more distance the better," Shaoten responded, "It's not like they can't hear us now." Kejek nodded and put away the radar, then took hold of Kyu and Shaoten. After a fraction of a second there was a loud crack and the three disappeared, reappearing a good distance from the battle--too far to tell much of the attacking forces other than they were blocking the way into the city. As suspected, the Z-bearing warriors took notice of the noise and quickly caught sight of the group. There was no time for pursuit, though, since the three took off as soon as they got oriented; apparently the Z-warriors weren't Saiyan levels of fast. In a moment, Kyu, Shaoten and Kejek were coming to a stop where the road showed scorchmarks and cracks. In the distance was a sound the heroes hadn't heard in years: the sound of a vehicle in motion. "Is that our crystal delivery?" Kyu asked. "Yeah," Kejek answered, raising his wand. A cloud of red sparks issued from the wand's tip, a thin crackling filling the air. "I'm sure we wanted the enemy to see that," Shaoten said, flicking her eyebrows. The car was now in sight, and it was indeed slowing at Kejek's signal. Within seconds it stopped on the side of the road opposite the group, the driver's window coming down. ***** OOC: My posts are too long! . *leaves it off here for now*.

OOC: Quadruple posting again? *headdesk*.
*******
~:There are still hostiles in the area,:~ one of the EIA operatives reported to the rest of the team, ~:An intense battle is taking place above what seems to be a prison facility.:~
~:Backup is standing by,:~ the green-scaled officer responded, ~:Continue the sweep. Any agent that encounters a violent situation is to report to team leader before taking further action.:~
~:We have confrontation,:~ Another agent commed in, ~:A group of soldiers is standing against group θ. They seem capable of superhuman strength and energy manipulation; effectiveness of shields is --:~
The transmission was cut off as the battle began, one of the former Hermalan soldiers launching a ki volley at the EIA agents. They were mostly unharmed due to their advanced shielding technology, but were still thrown back. The counterattack followed, a group of blazing white crystals flying from the alien weapons. Most of the soldiers were able to dodge the shots with ease, a couple attempting to deflect them and another taking a crystal to the shoulder. All that came in contact with the crystals were instantly absorbed into them, the air in the chabmer moving rapidly as the crystals returned to their launchers.
The battle had begun, and for the moment strength wasn't the deciding factor...

OOC: I'm just not satisfied with this month's posts, I guess. I'd imagine we're up to Operation STHOOK now, unless someone has a plot twist to throw in the mix... and since Pahn's the logical method of travel, I dub my turn over for now. ^^

"I nearly got that golden monkey and the weird gray guy to rip each other to pieces," Flayk reported, crouching low next to the man in the cloak.
"Zedd has made his move on the fragments of that lost weapon," the man in the cloak told Flayk. "So far, it looks like the plan is still working, however, we must remain on guard. The plan could easily go sour at any moment."
"And what are we going to do once we gain those items and all that power?" Flayk asked, his attention focused on the scenes of battle below them.
The man in the cloak turned his head to face Flayk, but his eyes still remained hidden. Flayk knew so little about this man, which made him dangerous, even though he had agreed to work for him. Still, it had done him no harm so far, and the man had in fact been very kind to him, something that would never have come to pass during his days in the Hermalyan Empire. Emporer Cort had been a cruel man.
"We will use the power to gain higher rank among the Unifyer's underlings, maybe even taking the place of that fallen fourth Harold... then the Unifyer will reward us, as he promised. He said he'd bring her back..."

Gohan huffed and puffed as he watched Morlagan climb out of the dust cloud that was created when Gohan threw him to the ground outside the tower. "This is too much for an old man..." he muttered as he took a quick glance at the four Elemental Rings on his hand. "If only they were the Rings of Power, I could probably match this Morlagan in power. As it is, I can probably only keep the fight up like this for a bit longer."
The space pirate floated up to Gohan's level, just outside Clidax's Tower, a slight grin on his face. "My, oh my..." he said as he gathered energy into his hands. "You truly are one of the best there are. Now I see how you defeated Miliardo and convinced him to join you. You aren't vying for position among the Unifyer's underlings now, are you?"
"No," Gohan replied, trying to match the built up energy Morlagan was gathering. "I do what I do in the defense of all things, not to bend them to my will. I'm going to defeat you, then I'm moving on to your master. And then... his master."
Morlagan doubled over in a fit of laughter. "You think you can take on the Unifyer? He can meld entire universes together, for Kami's sake! There is no way you can even comprehend that power, much less stand up against it!"
"We'll see!" Gohan shouted as both warriors unleashed their pent up energy. Gohan split his concentration between his energy burst and the wall of rocks he raised from the ground, guiding it in place behind Morlagan.
The wall of rock rushed forward, slamming into Morlagan and causing him to break off his energy attack. "Huh?" he muttered as he turned slightly to see it, just before Gohan smashed his foot into the side of his face, breaking both of them through the rock wall with Morlagan taking the brunt of the damage.

"That power is fading," Pahn said, ignoring the talk around her. "Anoreha, let's go."
Anoreha nodded, then looked at the others around her. "If any of you wish to travel to Klidore to aid in the battles there, now is the time to come."
"Yeah, if any of you want to go, we have to hurry," Pahn added.

"Ok, then we're going directly to where that massive energy just was," Pahn told the assembled heroes. "I figure that it's dissappearance means something major just happened, and the survivors may be able to clue us in on what to do next." She winced when she realized what she had just said. 'Survivors.' That implied that someone may have died on Klidore, one of her friends or allies.
Everyone made some form of contact with Pahn, either directly by touching her or indirectly by touching someone who was touching her. She raised her hand to her forehead, two fingers touching lightly to her bangs. With a little focus, she recalled the place where they had sensed the massive energy on Klidore, and with a flash of light, she brought them there, to the Temple of Terra Dax.
"Pahn? Anoreha?" Trunks asked as he came around a shattered pillar, wiping blood from his face. "How are things on Earth?"
"The Klidorians there have been thwarted, but there is a new menace taking its place," Anoreha replied, helping to wipe the blood off of her husband's face.
Tratz gave a rough laugh as he stood up. "There's always something new around the corner," he muttered. "And it looks like I'm stuck helping you Saiyans a while longer."
"Either way... we've come to fight," Pahn told them all. "And we came to win."

"Elohssa," the voice was Yabu's. "Have Kyu and Shaoten recovered?"
"They're fine," Elohssa answered, "Last I checked they were on a mission to recover something that should make our job a little less painful."
"Shairo?" Of the group, Shairo seemed to be the only one somewhere close to unconsciousness, but that didn't stop his eyes from opening at Kairin's voice.
"They got her," Shairo said weakly, "But... I felt something else... even after the fight ..."
"I know," Kairin said, trying to keep his eyes on Shairo's face, "And if there's a way to get her back... I promise we'll find it. Are you ok?"
"I'll live," Shairo answered, "That Buu morph of At's is a lifesaver..."
"The plan didn't go perfectly," At said, sitting against the remains of a pillar, "But things turned out better than we were hoping."
"Is this going to take a while?" Kairin asked, hearing Pahn's words to the assembled.
"Not really," At answered, "We knew as Aro we could beat Shadow Walker without maxing out... and we did until he was enarged, and that's when we realized he could get us past Terra Dax's monster energy. So we went all out and wasted energy so we'd split when we got here... we didn't expect to be sent here directly though; good thing, since otherwise Shairo would probably have fought Clidax. . . and he's about as strong as Terra Dax was."
"That may work to our advantage in more ways than one," Elohssa said. He then addressed everyone: "As there is currently a battle nearby, we should take the opportunity to make a stealth approach; it may be to our advantage to have part of the group enter directly, and the other take to the shadows. If there are no objections, the shadows and I are well acquainted."
"The ghost twins are down," Yabu noted.
"I'll cover that," Kairin said, though with a hint of reluctance, "I'd probably get in the way doing anything else."
