OOC: Yeah... *Was expecting Got to be captured, but no complaining here* XD. At this point, I think you should go ahead and get Agteka moving, somehow... wheever... XD (*has no idea where to start things there, but abruptly transitioning from "lol flyin' our spaceship" to "Someone flying around Crystal City" works fine.). There's one thing I want to do, but it should wait until other things happen... Well, and then ... *hides* XD.

I have absolutely no idea where the Hueco Mundo group is going from here... or what anyone there would do, so that's all in your hands for now.
I think I've exhausted my not-Kai-related options. Which I guess means it's somehow the Wolfstar's turn again... though I think Gotenks-tachi are free to move to from Kaioshinkai...

[Wolfstar]

Red Knight weaved between two alien fighters, then punched a set of buttons that expanded a bubble of energy around his fighter, destroying the two. He instantly had to throttle up and barrel roll out of the way of a barrage of enemy fire.

On his viewscreen, he watched Time Warper fire his cannons into a crowd of enemy ships, taking several of them down in quick succession. Terry had always been a better pilot, but ships of this type were more common in his time.

As he maneuvered to attack a larger ship, Red Knight wondered how Time Warper's time fared against the Unifyer. Terry had never known any of the hardships they faced at the moment, which made Red Knight's head spin. How can the future be so disconnected from the present? Xian had tried to explain that time is not linear, but cyclical, that the entire Multiverse, back when time had flowed as intended, would be seeded, bloom, and die, just to repeat once more, all according to the design of the Creator.

But where was this Creator? How could he allow the Unifyer to destroy world after world, melding realities in search of a power to rival that of Creation?

Red Knight's thoughts were cut short as his comlink sparked to life. "What do you say we make a break for the moon? Xian says that's where the bad dudes are chilling. I say we go kick their asses and relax back at the Library with some cold ones."

Red Knight considered this for a moment. "We've contained most of the fighters. They seem much less interested in Earth. This might be a good time to stop whatever the hell it is they are up to."

"That's what I wanted to hear," Time Warper replied. Red Knight could feel the grin from the audio of the communication line.

OOC: I'm doubting that will go well for our heroes, but that's sorta the idea.

OOC: Are they heading to the moon? I don't recall what was going on when they got there, but the idea was that Serpentera is already heading somewhere... not that I know where (Drakengard-world?).
Not that that ruins things. Heh.

OOC: I thought the UAE was there... but I can change it if they're somewhere else.

Well, they're in a space-fortress-thing, which is probably orbiting the moon, unless they've already ran off... but I haven't actually moved them, so sure!

Pahn wanted nothing more than to just stand there and weep. Her two sons had been stripped from the universe and were fighting on a brand new planet against a very powerful adversary. It was not the first time they had battled away from her watchful eye, away from her aid, but she could not feel them at all now. Even her mother's instincts told her nothing about their condition.

"My boys... and my daughter, who's been missing for years... my husband, who died, came back from our wish, and vanished again... have I lost everyone?"

Trunks stirred with a groan. "You're too strong to think like that," he muttered, his eyes barely open. "Besides, we have work to do. There's no time to worry about something that may not come to pass. Your family will be fine. You have the blood of Goku running through your veins, as do your children. And Cyba... he's incredible as well. Have faith, Pahn."

She did begin to weep. "Thank you, Trunks. Thank you." She poured him a glass of water, then looked over at the others. "He's right. Legaia is a dead end for us. What will come to pass will come to pass. We have to move forward to Agteka. We have to save the universe."

As the planet grew smaller in the viewscreen, her worries grew larger... but her resolve also strengthened. Her sons would fight, and they had the heart to win. Ariya, her daughter, would find a way to them, when the time was right for her.

And her husband would do his part to undo the Unifyer. She felt that with more certainty than she'd ever felt anything in her life.

But despite Pahn's optimism, dark forces were stirring in the universe, and the worst was yet to come.

Loki floated through a new void zone in space, feeling the serenity of fresh destruction wash over him. The Unifyer was not pleased in the least.

"No Master, those insignificant worms that call themselves the gods of this world, the Kais, they interfered, along with some Soul Society affiliates."

Loki paused as a fresh wave of anger washed over him, another sign of displeasure from the Unifyer.

"The Kai planet, I am sure. The one safe haven they have left." Impatience flowed through the bond that connected servant to master, Harold Loki to the Unifyer. "Yes Master. As soon as you crack the barrier placed on both Soul Society and the Otherworld, I will be able to eliminate this final major pocket of resistance. The Ni Asyas have chosen to fight against us, as you predicted, but Moritori and Voltage are going to destroy them before they can mobilize. The Chaotic is in Hueco Mundo, with Wolfstar, and Dimitri is in place to capture that element." A soothing tone... Loki's confidence was turning aside the Unifyer's anger. "Yes my lord, then the Perfect Fusion and the witch will be ours in no time."

He dared not tell him of the other recent, dangerous development involving the Time Matrix, but Loki honestly did not have enough information to worry the Unifyer over that anyways. Songi would deliver on his promises, as he always had in the past, and Lord Zedd's forces along with Mannah would recover the Watchers, bringing the Unifyer one step closer to his goal...

OOC: ZOMPanda, this is the closest we've gotten to an appearance from the Unifier him/her/itself...
*remembers who Demetri is* ... *and stuff he said* ... *and stuff that's been discussed about him* XD XD XD

"Looks like they're coming our way," Elgar anounced. Darkonda turned around with a scowl--so much for his dramatic exit.

"They really think they can storm the dark fortress that easily? Have Rita and Zedd left anyone at their palace?"

"Just a second, your fishyness!" Ecliptor shoved Elgar aside and pressed a button on the main console a bit forcefully.

"Feeble defenses. Sensors. Nothing we can't break, and nothing worth breaking them for," Ecliptor determined.

"The cave where the Zeo Crystal was hidden is still there, I presume?" Darkonda asked.

"So far as I know," Eclitpor answered, "But the power rangers retrieved the Zeo Crystal long ago..."

"True," Darkonda agreed, "But the bariers protecting the crystal should still be in place. Even if these mysterious fighters can get through them, it will save us the trouble to deal with them directly. Now we just need to lead them inside."

In accordance with the order, a pair of surviving velocifighters attempted to peal away from the action and race for the moon-palace, streaking below Time Warper and Red Knight, coming in so low that, had they not disappeared at the last minute, one might have expected a crash against the moon's surface.

OOC: Eh, that was kinda ... improvized on the spot. . As I recall, that's the cave where Tommy had to deal with all the flashback illusion stuff... though I'm not so sure it's a great place to continue dogfighting, heh. If the behavior of the Dark Fortress is of any consequence here... feel free to manipulate it to add to the trickery, not that they have to fall into the trap. ^_^.

And ... I'm suddenly feeling like there's something really big on Earth that I need to do soon, but I have no idea what it is. . . .

After a brief moment of rest, and a reunion with the other fighters that had escaped the battle at the Resistance Base, Cyba knew it was time to act once again.

"As per our agreement, I'm on your side now," Wolfstar told him, his arms crossed in front of him. He was back in his sealed state, appearing as he had in life, but with white robes and the fragments of his mask on his head. "However, I doubt that any plan you have conceived will hinder the Unifyer's plans."

"I've got it all taken care of," Cyba announced, floating slightly so that all could see him. He felt that this would be a momentous moment. "A few days ago on Earth, Trunks and I fused. I didn't think it would be possible for Cybtrenks to achieve a Chaotic state, but we did. Also unexpectedly... we were able to tear a hole in space-time, so that we could send other heroes to the past to stop Cort's plot to eradicate the Resistance... no, to destroy any possibility of even a roadblock against the Unifyer."

"Does this story have a point?" Wolfstar asked impatiently, tapping his foot in the sands.

"I'm going to open another portal. I'm going to get some reinforcements, and at the same time... I'm going to give you a chance to see your loved one again. We're going to challenge the Unifyer's forces while they were nothing but a fledgling invasion force from another dimension, and we're going to stop him dead in his tracks."

"Trunks isn't here, Cyba," Alex interjected. "And you aren't as powerful as Cybtrenks was then, either."

"You're correct," Cyba replied, grinning. "When I fought Cort, I tapped into a higher level of Chaotic though, one that transformed me into living Chaos Energy itself. Then I trained in the Chaos Dimension with another powerful Chaotic, one that I am certain, did not have that ascended form I mentioned. What he taught me has given me a higher grasp on controlling the powers of chaos. Now, I'm going to need the Zeo Crystal, and it might be a good idea for you all to step back a little ways..."

In a raging torrent of Chaos Energy, Cyba transformed to his Chaotic form. Grudgingly, the heroes handed him the pieces of the Zeo Crystal and backed away. "If this works... we can end the war today." Closing his eyes, Cyba drew the Chaos Energy in deeper, causing his green flesh to glow green, like a cartoon of a radioactive monster. His hair, normal length but green, began to grow longer, his muscles tightened, and his eyes radiated, as if they were green electric lights.

He could feel the considerable power of the Zeo Crystal, even in its fragmented state. He drew the Chaos Energy in through the Zeo Crystal, giving himself the biggest boost of power he had ever felt in his life. "Here goes nothing," he muttered, creating a great swirling disc of energy in the air, trying to connect to the location in time and space he sought.

The vortex crackled to life and then stabilized. "Let's move!" The gathered heroes filed into the opened gate, followed, at the very end by Cyba and Wolfstar.

"I hope you know what you're doing, tampering with the past like this," Wolfstar told him as he entered the vortex.

"As do I," Cyba whispered to himself. He also entered the portal, then let it close behind him. Immediately, his power dropped back to his normal state, and he reluctantly handed the Zeo Crystal fragments back to the proper holders. Only as his senses readjusted to being deprived of the chaos energy did he realize that they had not arrived at their intended destination. "Oh... great." He could not be certain if the time was accurate either. "King Kai, I need..." he began to say as he was struck in the face with a skeletal hand. Several other rushing figures began attacking the crowd.

The Chaos gate had taken too much strength out of Cyba, and he worried that his new foe would overpower him. "I mean you no harm, unless you serve the Unifyer!" he tried to say as he was struck again, this fresh blow yielding blood from the Saiyan's nose.

Cyba heard Wolfstar unsheathe his sword as a fresh battle began to commence on the unknown battlefield.

Well, so far as I recall, 2003 didn't suck quite as much as most of the other years this decade, so Schwee!

OOC: Haha, not Tralos... I'm thinking this will be our version of the Drakengard world, which I think would be fitting to dub Eporue.... which is also where Zedd is heading, right?
