OOC: I should really, really let someone else start this, but since it's pretty important, I think I'm going to start it anyway. And I think I'm going to try to do a ridiculously large amount with it, despite that such would be bad RP-ing...

"Ioru!"

The Sevan pilot thought he would collapse again. That voice...

"Ioru! It's me! Iazhe!"

Ioru looked around, and noticed several things. First, he was no longer in the strange cave-asteroid-facility. Second, that he was outdoors, in sight of strange structures whose purpose he could't discern. Third, that he only recognized Gotenks, Goton and Aldran of those surrounding him, and fourth... that Iazhe was nowhere in sight.

"Iazhe? Where are you?"

"I'm with Queen Kai!" the girl's voice answered in Ioru's head, "It's amazing how fast I've gotten just running on snake way!"

"What are you talking about? Where are you!"

"She is in the afterlife," Supreme Kai explained, "She was swiftly judged and allowed to train with the Kai of the eastern quadrant. East Kai's specialty is speed, so it's no surprise that your neice has managed to reach her in so short a time. However, her training will be delayed a few minutes longer."

"What is this place? Who are you?"

"He is the Supreme Kai," Urahara answered, "And has been so kind as to bring you to the sacred realm of the Kais."

"Kais?"

"The kais watch over the universe," Supreme Kai answered, "In the past, Supreme Kais watched both the universe and the afterlife, but millennia ago all of the Supreme Kais other than myself and my imprisoned ancestor were killed by a powerful demon called Majin Buu. This realm orbits the universe, and enables me to keep watch over all at once. Unfortunately, this is hardly a simple task, and the Kais avoid intruding on mortal affairs except for the most dire of circumstances. Now that the Unifier is fighting his way into Soul Society, and has even sent Heralds into the universe... the Kais have become deeply involved, such as in the training of Iazhe and Cyba."

"Cy... What?"

"All will be explained in time." Supreme Kai assured, "But I am now trying to coordinate a strategy with the other Kais. This will be the first meeting in some time... and some of you are at the heart of it." He let his gaze fall on Gotenks, Goton and Kikyo at that last part.

OOC: I talked to Gotenks a few days ago and told him that we're wanting to get this started up again. If he has time, I imagine he'll wander in when he can.

OKAYZ! I have found a small window of relaxation amongst the evils that are schoolwork!!!

Everything happened so fast. Kikyo thought for sure that the group was done for under the attacks of Loki. She was even sure that the combined might of Gotenks and Goton wouldn't have been enought to stop him. But now...

"This place..." she peered around the area a bit, taking all that she could in. "This place...it's..." She stopped before saying anything else. This was it. This was the planet of the Kais. "If we're here...then we should be safe...at least for the time being."

In an instant she was at the side of Gotenks and Goton, both of whom were passed out from their previous imprisonment. As she bent down on her knees to put her hands on their foreheads, she turned her attention towards the others. "So now what so you suggest we do? We can't hide here forever." She could feel the magic, the heavenly powers of the planet. "The magic of this place won't be enough to keep men of their power out of here."

The two had no serious injuries - that was good news at least. Now where would they go in all of this? Things had become so complicated that Kikyo herself wasn't sure of how things would turn out. "And it all seemed like things would end easily back then... How has it come to this?"

OOC: No, not lame! Actually, I think Kikyo just had a very important line in there, haha!

I'm in the midst of NaNoWriMo at the moment, so this is on a back burner for me, but I'll try and get some update soon-ish, especially since the Kai planet stuff is currently our most important plotline as far as the overall story goes.

OOC: Oh yeah! While searching for voice clips to use for the GU Sidescroller, I came across a bit of information that I never really caught... that being that, according to Zordon, the Zeo Crystal's power increases with time. So yeah... not that we were the least bit concerned with over-justifying power balance, but I'm thinking that an object that can blow up buildings from galaxies away that's been sitting dormant for a good 30-40 or so years of powering up is going to be ridiculously capable of awesome things. XD.

I'm a bit uneasy about an idea that I have (not that someone couldn't come in and break it... which I'd not actually mind if it isn't a game-breaker. XD ), but I think I'm going to ... do a snippet-thing here while I'm feeling it...

Liquaro and Rani stood in front of Kairin and Shairo, the latter of which wasn't having a particularly easy time remaining upright thanks to the injury in his side from which he wasn't succeeding at keeping from leaking blood.
Though the ground was too thickly covered in mist to see, the four on the ground could feel it shake as the giant Marakan's feet struck it in his single step forward--a step that easily eliminated the distance between him and his victims.
Liquaro and Rani stood their ground, though the trimmar caused Shairo to stagger.

"Can you cover Shairo?" Kairin asked the twins.

"I'm not sure if it's safe for us to try and fly while we're in his reach," Liquaro answered.

"I'll take care of that," Kairin said, "Just keep him safe."

"I can... handle myself..." Shairo struggled not to cough.

"Even if," Kairin said--now hurriedly, since Marakan was raising his foot again, "You've got the singing squash; we can't lose it."

Rani jumped into the air, targeting Marakan's foot as it began to descend. Liquaro grabbed Shairo and moved as far back from the foot as he could. Kairin stood up straight and held his hand near his forehead.

"Solar Flare!" The dark dimention was briefly illuminated with a blinding light, and Marakan's stomp slowed enough for Rani to unleash a large ki-burst into it, forcing Marakan to stumble a bit backward.

"Ow, my eyes!" The booming dual voice's shout was mockery, "Now there's no way I can find you! Even if my senses relied only on sight, I couldn't just stomp around and crush you!"

Kairin tried to ignore the sarcastic monologue as he dove into the mist near Marakan's feet, his hands groping frantically along the ground. "Come on... where is it...?"

Rani flew higher and fired another large ball of energy. Marakan punched this one aside, and opened his other fist, a far larger blast tearing through the air and hurling rani back a large distance before he fell to the ground. Marakan threw another blast groundward, and Liquaro hovered above the mist, throwing up a barier to struggle against Marakan's attack. Shairo struggled, raised a hand, and added to the deflection effort, and after a few tense seconds, the blast was dispersed.

A battlecry from Kairin rang out from near Marakan, and the risidual light from the ki attacks glinted off of something metallic as Kairin flew upward and spun, delivering a fierce upward slice into the base of Marakan's thigh with the quad-blade. Marakan's hand came toward Kairin, who attempted to push off of the giant's leg. The blow still connected and threw Kairin back and to the ground with the breath knocked from him.

"So I take it we can't teleport out of here?" Shairo asked as Rani landed beside Liquaro and Kairin crawled his way toward them.

"I can't find any ki aside from us and that," Rani answered.

"Kikyo is right, you know," Kisuke Urahara announced, holding his fan to his lips as he often did while in thought. "We've been very lucky to be able to hold them back this long, but right now, we have the Unifyer's attention, especially after we slipped away from Loki like that. His people haven't cracked through yet, but it's going to happen."

The Supreme Kai nodded. "We're going to need to gather everyone together to formulate our defense well before that happens. What is the status of the Chaotic, Cyba?"

Aldran's ears perked up as he heard his 'uncle's' name. "Cyba, alive?" he whispered. Then there was hope for him that his mother and father lived as well, and Ariya... he hoped she was okay.

"Last I could see, he and the group with him beat that Arrancar, Wolfstar, then Cyba did some Chaos Energy manipulation and ported them across the galaxy. I don't have a fix on them anymore. Something is blocking me intentionally." He slapped his crystal ball a few times, as if that would clear up his reception problems.

"The other Kais are on the way," Tessai told them all, lowering his hand from his forehead. "They will be here shortly, then this conference can truly get under way."

"Kikyo," Urahara spoke directly to her again, "are those two okay? We'll need them both to form the Perfect Fusion if we have any hopes of defeating the Unifyer."

'The world, no the universe, is truly ending, isn't it?' Aldran thought to himself. He felt an urge to speak the words, but before he could, the four Kais, plus the Grand Kai, arrived.

OOC: Cajones, you're probably the most qualified to write the Kais. That, and I don't even know where to go in this plotline from here, other than what we've already got hinted at.

Sorry for a crappy post. I was mostly just trying to set up for you two, as you're the main focus now. I mean, I've got Urahara, who can be important, but the main focus should be Gotenks, Goton, Kikyo, and the Kais in conference.

OOC: Heh. It was literally a few hours ago I was trying to formulate a post here. I think it'd've been way more useless the way I was planning to do it, so what you left us with should speed things up. XD.

I've got another idea that randomly came to mind during all of this, but... it's kinda... outlandish, and I'm not sure if I can think of the right character to bring it up ... But I'll think on that for now.

"Greetings, Supreme Kai," the Grand Kai said with a low bow, "I appologize for the delay."

"It is no trouble," the Elder Kai responded, "It bought time to speak with our guests."

The attention of the four kais fell on the decidedly alive people that were gathered near them. King Kai--of the north quadrant--shook his head, while "Queen Kai" of the east's face was half-contorted between relief at their escape, and shock at their presence in a place that most kais had limited access to. South Kai's brow bobbed a bit at the sight, though he quickly turned his attention back to his superiors.

"Mortals?" West Kai's was the most surprised response, "Brought to this sacred realm?" He looked like he wanted to say more, but silenced himself with a somewhat fearful expression when he remembered his surroundings.

"These are important players in the current crisis," the Supreme Kai explained, "These three,"--he indicated Gotenks, Goton and Kikyo--"Have been targeted in very curious ways by underlings of Mem Karostlous. I have also had experience with some of them, and I assure you, their presence here is a necessity; it is our privelage to host them. Now, I assume that all of us here are aware of the acts being carried out across the universe in the name of Mem Karostlous?"

Each of the gathered Kais gave a solid affirmation.

"So that we are all caught up," Supreme Kai continued, "An extraversal intity calling himself 'the unifier of realms' has apparently made contact with this universe. His goal is nothing less than an ultimate power that can only be obtained--or so he believes--through merging all splintered universes." At some confused responses from the non-Kais present, he added "Timetravel has created the simplest of these; rapid advancements in mystic arts or technology others; and others still are beyond our ability to explain."

"The supporters of Mem Karostlous have grown strong in recent times, and have been conquering the universe in ways that rival Freeza, and are approaching that of the United Alliance of Evil at its peak. This alone, however, is not why I have summoned you here. Eons ago, a being known to some as Elumatsu was split among the dimentions of spacetime, and thus gained awareness and power to manipulate time--to a certain degree. Among his early works was the creation of a device called the Time Matrix, a powerful space-time manipulator that is responsible for many universe fragments that still affect us. The Time Matrix recently fell into the hands of the underlings of Mem Karostlous, and while attempts to use it against the universe at large were thwarted, it was used toward an end that I believe was meant to serve the goals of the so-called 'Unifier'. A battle is currently being waged in a universal fragment created by the Time Matrix for control over it; it is beyond our influence until someone therein gains control over the Time Matrix."

"I fear, though, that the Time Matrix is presently the least of our worries. Loki, one of the herolds of Mem Karostlous, made a personal appearance in the East Galaxy shortly before your arrival. A mysterious intity has been manipulating things in all quadrants toward the favor of Mem Karostlous, and its meddling has dragged the Perfect Fusion near to the jaws of the 'Unifier' himself, and has resulted in the restoration of portins of the United Alliance of Evil."

"So Lord Zedd has moved, then?" South Kai finally spoke up.

"My attention has admitedly been on the East Quadrant and the movement of Chaotics," the Supreme Kai answered, "But yes."

"I was afraid of that..." South Kai nearly muttered, "A few days ago, a surviver of Zordon's Power Wave brought a Yasha Tabe to a Vicca planet in the south and gave it indigestion; all of the evil the dragon had gathered restored most of Lord Zedd's forces, and they burned their way clear out of my domain before I could do anything about it. I have a couple witnesses that didn't survive on my planet that can provide more..."

"The same thing happened near Earth in the North Quadrant," King Kai added, "That shapeshifting ninja that's been causing trouble let loose a Yasha-tabe, and in the fighting it was wounded and restored the power of the Dark Fortress. The fortress itself survived Zordon's wave, but there was so much evil power in it that a shadow copy is now flying around, with UAE members to boot. And to top it all off, Lord Zedd and Rita dropped by and forced our chaotic and even an ally of the Unifier to retreat into Hueco Mundo."

"Where's Zedd at now, if I may ask?" interjected the Grand Kai.

"He's flying around in his death-machine trying to release the watchers," the Elder Kai explained, "Normally I'd say that's not our business, but this all goes back to Mem Karostlous, and his agents are getting far heavier-handed than before. Unless I'm sorely mistaken, everything leading up to this moment, including the capture and release of Kikyo, here, has been planned by Mem Karostlous's underlings."

"What are we to do, then?" West Kai asked gravely, "They're already more organized... what is it that they're really after?"

Yeah. So... Supreme Kai was alluding to Gotenks' creation, there, and I'm sure Kikyo's in there somewhere, and... umm... *BAMF*

That, and since there are no 'power levels' so to speak in Herendil, 'energy signature' and 'life force' are what I've been using there.
