OOC: Well, and we use 'ki' from time to time in an almost-interchangeable way, and... I'm tempted to ramble about how the different terms are used in DB/Z, but I'll leave it at that. XD

I already forgot why, but I put up a recorded-fight-thing using the system in the GU Sidescroller here. (I was going to attach it, but it's too big. I can't open audio from my site from this computer, though, so I don't know for sure if it works...).
Yeah, so between now and those JVSF recordings I've posted, I improved the AI considerably and figured out how to record betterly. Umm... and this is loosely drawn from something that actually happened around page 30-something or so. XD

We have a tendency to have fusion times pass rather quickly both for resetting and usage... apparently we aren't fighting on Namek. XD

"They're unconscious right now." Kikyo turned her attention to Urahara, while paying close attention to the conversation of the Kais. "I fear that they've used more of their energy than I originally thought. At this rate, I'm not sure when they'll come back to consciousness."

Kikyo left the side of the two Saiyans, and paced back and forth, pondering to herself. She finally stopped, though her expression didn't show any sign of a new revelation.

"I fear that Goken is perhaps part of their plan... If anything, he would prove to be an important asset for them. I have no worries that Goken would join their side...but...I worry that they may find another way to get them on their side."

She looked at her own hands for a moment, and then looked back up.

"If they were to get their hands on a person with powerful magic...they could possibly get Goken under their control against his will." She stopped again, unsure of what next to say. "That witch, Kone, if she's still on their side now, she may have the power to do just that."

"I was afraid of something like that," the Supreme Kai admited, "Isn't she a Hermalyan that appeared after the Time Matrix was used?" He looked at Kikyo for a moment, then addressed everyone else.
"Kikyo here has been captured and moved multiple times by the agents of Mem Karostlous. She seems to be free of their control for the time being, but she does remind us of the measures to which the enemy has resorted. Honorible Ancestor?" The Elder Kai nodded. "Do we have a lock on the shapeshifter that has been leading Kikyo's group across the universe?"

"Yes, of course," the Elder Kai answered, "Look here." He tapped the crystal ball a couple times, and the gathered turned their attention toward it. "The shapeshifter is in one of Rita and Zedd's pocket dimentions." The ball showed the image of giant Marakan in the dark dimention, gazing at something that couldn't be seen in the mist and from the view provided by the crystal ball. "I think I know what you're going to suggest, though; I hope you have a plan for how to deal with the mess."

"What does he mean, Supreme Kai?" Asked the West Kai. ( Meep, why do I feel the need to mention how much the -sama suffix feels like necessary here? ).

"It might be to our advantage," the Supreme Kai answered, "To try and capture the shapeshifter before he can do any further damage. It is possible that he has information that could be useful as well. Penetrating the Dark Dimention from here will require a combination of abilities, including my own, but once we have him, we should be capable of holding him."

OOC: Meep! This doesn't seem like a great stopping point... but yeah.

Umm... well, this will be on my mind for the next several hours. I'll post today, I'm sure. I just can't right now.

OOC: Hmm... well, I'm a jerk. I don't know what to do there, so I'm going to post here instead...

"We have to finish these foes quickly," Bardock told Vahn. "Songi is on his way, and I don't think we stand much of a chance against him if he has allies."

Vahn nodded. Songi would be tough to beat as it was. "I'll finish Dohati," Vahn said confidently. "You go help that kid you brought, that Razze."

Bardock's face twitched slightly. "Juggernaut is dead," he said. "But Goti is on his way now. I think he has others with him, but I can't tell if they're friend or foe."

"We can worry about him after we handle this." Vahn took a fighting stance and faced Dohati. "Right now, this is all that matters."

Bardock looked up, then lifted off the ground, heading to the top of the floating building. Flashes of light told him that the battle up there was intensifying.

Just as Bardock landed and began to power up, the three bodies of the Prophet Hari appeared around him. <That was most difficult> he said in Bardock's head. <I only gained access because those two beings outside this world finally decided to stop fighting and start working together. Bardock, listen to me... this fight does not matter. All you need to do is make it to the Time Matrix, at the heart of this world.>

"Where is that?" he asked, not taking his eyes off the version of Razze Highland crafted by the Time Matrix fight his evil counterpart, the Dark Champion. "We have to beat Songi."

<No, the Time Matrix is all that matters here.> Hari told him. <Songi is a secondary concern. I can explain once we've reached safety, but things have gotten much worse outside. The sky above is a reflection of the pattern used to create this world. Find the beginning of the spiral, of the pattern, and the Time Matrix will be there, waiting.>

Two of Hari's bodies departed, and in a flash, bubbles of energy enveloped Dohati and the Dark Champion. <Go, heroes! You must not waste another second, for the Unifyer has taken notice of you here!>

... Now I need to figure out how to incorporate that find-the-time-matrix method into my map designs. . Though it will probably wind up left to the background if it ever gets there. ^_^

So... yeah... I've been trying not to shove my sideplot there to the front of things, but I've got something in mind that needs to start there.
And... umm... *Waits* XD.

OOC: The time has come!
Oh, wait! I think I'll need The Supreme Kai, and maybe Kikyo and Urahara for this. And... either of them might protest, haha. But for the sake of moving things... I'll puppet now and reference those in the aftermath.

"You know," Marakan boomed, "The only thing I have to worry about damaging in here is you, and the stability of the Dark Dimention itself, so I think I'm going to let you experience my full power."

"Not another 'full power' experience..." Kairin groaned. He raised the quad blade to his face, angled so he could look between the blades. "I guess we'd better get ready."

The mist covering the floor rippled as though caught in a storm. Ripples ran along Marakan's body, and he slowly brought his giant hands closer together, lightning starting to arch between the massive fists. Kairin angled the quad-blade to capture as much light from the impending attack as possible, but it wasn't much.

"The Unifier wins again!" The lightning poured down Marakan's arms, just in time for a bubble of light to envelope him.

"Someone's just teleported here!" Liquaro exclaimed.

"Behind him!" Rani called. Sure enough, a few figures had appeared behind Marakan, and were focusing their attention on the bubble that was holding the giant in place.

"Come over here if you wish to leave with us," the Supreme Kai called, "But we will only stay until the shapeshifter has been subdoed."

The lightning around Marakan's arms burst and flew into him, and the bubble collapsed, leaving Marakkas and the shapeshifter, both normally sized, suspended within.

"Do not let them move," Supreme Kai ordered his allies. He then flew into the bubble, and in one swift motion, a sword appeared in his hands, though the end of it was absent. Light flew from the sword and engulfed the shapeshifter, the missing piece of the blade forming on his other side. The light condensed, and the shapeshifter was gone, the Supreme Kai holding the now whole sword.

"... Let's go!" Rani urged, "Before they leave!"
Liquaro and Rani joined hands, Liquaro holding onto Shairo while Kairin grabbed for Rani. In an instant, they had teleported to the group near Supreme Kai, and in another flash, the Dark Dimention was empty.

OOC: Meh. Out of time. They... ur... went back to the Kai planet, if ... anyone wants to do anything with that.

OOC: I'm going to ninja ahead a little more again, just to try and give people more to work with if/when anyone else feels like / has the chance to post.

The world of the Kais, sacred and forbidden to all but the most relevant of mortals, was suddenly hosting nearly a dozen of what the South Kai called "victims of circumstance". In addition to the group that had already been gathered, the return from the dark dimention left three humans--two of whom had halos--a half saiyan and a Metamorese youth near the gathering, along with a sword and a staff lying amid them all.

The Supreme Kai first placed his hand on the forehead of Marakkas, who was lying on the ground unconscious.
"He has been under a spell," the Supreme Kai anounced, "One of Lord Zedd's, by the looks of it. There should be more than enough sap in that squash the earthlings recovered to cure him."

The elder Kai knelt over the weapons on the ground.
"The Z-sword. Difficult to question him from in there, isn't it? Ah, well; perhaps I can chat with him from in there, not that I expect him to cooperate. And this..." Old Kai reached for the staff, but suddenly froze, a horrified look on his face. "This thing... has been marked!" He stepped back, looking at the staff as though it would bite him. "Aldran, I think you might be the only one here in fit condition to move the Z-sword for now. Get it away from that staff, would you? And vaporize the cursed stick while you're at it!"

"Honorable Elder..." King Kai spoke up, "I know it isn't my place, but most of us have no idea what's happening here."

"Ah, yes," the Elder Kai nodded, still keeping his eyes on the staff, "That staff was in the possession of Emperor Cort and his doppelganger until the shapeshifter took it to use in carrying out his plans. It has been marked by a powerful agent of evil; if we leave it here for very long, all our defenses against the Unifier might be broken in an instant. Quick, now; someone incinerate it before Mem Karostlous realizes it's here!"

"Ancestor," the Supreme Kai broke in, "About the Z-Sword. The Shapeshifter may be harmless while trapped within it, but his presence here is still dangerous. It would also be a powerful weapon in the hands of the mortal resistance. Perhaps it is better placed in the hands of one of them; Gotenks or Goten, perhaps, as they are the strongest present."

OOC: There. . The Shapeshifter is trapped in the Z-sword, Supreme Kai wants to give it to Gotenks and Goton, and everyone else can react to the mess that just went down (I deliberately avoided mentioning who was with Supreme Kai in the dark dimention; you guys can retcon those details however you see fit).

Yeah... I think Agteka needs attention, now that the Kai stuff is effectively ahead timeline-wise.
