"Orange Ray!" Cyba shouted out, decimating the Berserker in one hit with his single-handed attack.

Trunks reached in his pocket and pulled out a medical flask and quickly dumped the liquid on Cyba's arm, reversing the rot.

"Thanks," Cyba thanked him.

[chibi cajones]

Whoever had built the castle was indeed brilliant, or at least not a complete fool. The energies that seemed to emit from vague and indistinct sources were of a type that neither of the twins recognized.
"Which way should we go?" Rani said, looking toward Liquaro.
"If I had to guess," Liquaro answered, "I'd say the direction that looks the most foreboding."
"Why don't we just try to use instant transmission to find the emperor?" Rani suggested.
"What chance would we have against him now?" Liquaro responded. Rani nodded silently. They both turned their senses toward the allusive feelings radiating from the complexities of the castle.

... Say, where is Goti? Is he with Trunks and Cyba, Liquaro and Rani, or is he alone?

Oh... And a couple more places I thought would be nice for chapter breaks: Where Aro introduces himself, where Gotenks tells that the emperor has the time matrix, and where the scene changes after Goti emerges from the alliance's base before the introduction of Trunks and Cyba. Maybe the spot where the Hermalan army attacks everybody when the emperor says "... I can do so much more before you beg to die again."

Kairin gaped at the scene. To him, it had seemed that some random girl had stayed behind and suddenly unleashed a barrage of deadly powers on Kupid. Apparently Goken knew her, but it made the scene no less ambiguous. He turned to look back at the others. They seemed to share looks of interest, concern, and anticipation. The face that surprised him the most was that of Kone. He had nearly forgotten that she was there, and to see her face, golden eyes wide and gasping, was truly a shock.
Kone was gazing at the two in the distance, her gaze fitting on the girl. Those attacks... she knew of them. She had not yet mastered all of them, and the lunar eclipse was still simply something in her imagination. Who was she? Something about her seemed to remind Kone of... something... She let her senses expand, trying to force a connection with the mysterious woman. She found a spot in a single moment in which their spirits met. She recoiled back into her normal state of awareness, understanding some. She knew that she could not know all just yet. She was certain of one thing though. The emperor was undoubtedly and undeniably evil.

Goten gazed with a transfixed wonder at Goken and Kikyo. He turned to the closest person, Yabu, and gave him a questioning look. Yabu showed no sign of response, simply watching with an emotionless face.

[Wolfstar]

"So you have arrived," the first emperor said to the other.

"Yes, my lord," the second emporer replied, pulling the skin on his face off to reveal that he was in fact a super-intelligent Seru in human form.

"Here, you need this," the emporer said, giving his Seru counterpart an ejection of liquid form Mist. The power began to run immediately through the Seru's veins, giving it strength that wasn't ussually there. "Now go and stop those freaks, Cyba and Trunks before they shut down the Mist Generator. They are almost there!"

"Yes, my lord. My I use my full power?" the Sim-Seru asked.

"Feel free; have some fun!" the emperor told him, leaving him to climb out of the underground level of the Mist Generator castle.

Wow, the RPG still lives on... I'm not really sure what I should put here...

Goken just stared at Kikyo blankly, his face showed no sign of anger or happiness, it was completely blank. Kikyo stared back, obviously unsure of what to tell him. She pushed a strand of hair from her face, it was a habit she did when she was nervous.

"Goken... I'm sorry... I...I don't know what to tell you." She finally choked up.

"...Kikyo..." Goken responded. "How can you do that?"

"It's a spell," Kikyo answered.

"A spell? Like a magician?" Goken questioned taking a step towards Kikyo.

"Yes," Kikyo replied not moving from where she was standing, "it is like a magician's spell."

"How do you know something like that?" Goken answered, once again taking a step foward to Kikyo.

Sorry to cut it off, but I forgot what race Kone/Kikyo is... tell me if you can remember...

Well, Kone is a Hermalan I believe. I do think that we should probably keep Kikyo's identity hidden until Kone goes back... but what you've done so far is fine. If you'd like to go ahead with it, I guess you could... it'd just kind of... hmm... unless Goken is the only one that knows... Oh well.

alright. Kone is like a Hermalan Sorceress. And you know, maybe the Hermalans have different races among them just like humans? Just a thought... It'd allow some variety, I suppose.

They walked along as silently as possible. The unusual nature of the castle was nothing to the energy that bombarded them with unfamiliar sensations. But this they withstood, walking along down the corridor that they had chosen. It seemed dark, though light was present as a twilight glow from some unseen source.
At last, they passed an opening to the left that seemed entirely of darkness. Here they stopped and turned to face it.
"Is this foreboding enough?" Rani asked.
"No, but it'll do for now," Liquaro answered. He stepped toward the opening, Rani moving in perfect rhythm as they entered the darkness. Both of them raised a hand in front of them as a slight glow came from them to light their surroundings. The corridor seemed more like a tunnel, round and seamless, though it traveled without slope. After a long walk in the dimness, they caught sight of something moving up ahead. There also seemed to be an opening with some kind of light coming through it, but it seemed like it was shrouded in a vale of deception.
They stopped, gazing ahead in silence. They brought their lit hands closer to each other and created a larger glowing sphere of light between them. Something seemed to float along in the opening ahead, and the brighter light caught its attention as it moved toward them.
"What's that?" Liquaro said with sudden confusion. He was far from surprised to see something floating toward them.
"That," Rani answered, "Is about to hit us." Liquaro ducked and Rani stepped aside, both of them throwing blasts toward the thing. It spun and slammed into the wall of the tunnel before Liquaro turned and fired a small, two-handed blast that annihilated it.
"I'm hoping that was an enemy," Rani said as Liquaro stood and faced the opening ahead.
"If not," Liquaro said, "Then it should have been less intrusive." Without another word, they continued toward the opening that was mere feet away.

[Wolfstar]

"Halt!" the humanoid Sim-Seru that possed as the emperor only an hour earlier commanded to Cyba nd Trunks. "I will not allow you to destroy my life stream."
"Your life stream?" Trunks asked. "That would make you a Seru if you are dependant on the Mist Generator!"
"Sim-Seru. I was created as a mix between Juggernaut, Emporer Cort, and yourselves."
"Alrighty then, Cell," Trunks said, making a crack at his past advisary.
"I advise you turn around and tell Cort to go piss off," Cyba remarked.
"You will show respect to the Emperor!" raged the Sim-Seru as it launched itself toward Cyba.

[chibi cajones]

"Do you sense something?" Liquaro asked.
"I think it's the emperor," Rani replied, "Or at least the one we faced in the past."
"Can Trunks and Cyba handle him?" Liquaro wondered.
"We need to keep looking for the mist generator," Rani pointed out, "If things get bad, we can always use instant transmission to find them." They walked on, their path pulling farther and farther from the powers that they vaguely felt of the two warriors and their foe.

[Wolfstar]

Cyba reached out and caught the Sim-Seru in a headlock. "Talking tough now?" he asked it and he threw it to the ground in a pile. "Orange Ray!" The attack blew a hole in the ground, but the Sim-Seru wasn't there anymore. Trunks whipped around and punched, catching it in the chest.

"Nice try with that sneak attack," Trunks told him. "I wouldn't be the son of Vegeta if I didn't see that coming." He proceeded to kick him swiftly, bringing him down again.

"Yes, that is what it was like!" the Sim-Seru shouted, as it revived its power. "Bring on you power!"

[chibi cajones]

Ok, so correct me if I'm wrong, but Goti is also out there searching the castle?

"We must move," Elohssa declared, "I'm sorry to interrupt this scene, but the time matrix is gone. Donyr and Blitzian have Dende and the dragon balls in their stronghold. If we hope to do anything now, then we must make haste."
Yabu sighed inwardly. Something important was about to happen. At any rate, it could still be done when the time was right.
"He's right, you know," Goten agreed, "We probably need to get going. We could use some help though. If only one of the others was here, we'd stand a better chance. There are enough of us now though, and so very few of the great warriors of the Hermalans left. We can do this." He looked back to Goken and Kikyo. Who was she?

[Wolfstar]

Yeah, Goti is in the castle with one of your groups i thought.

"Ah hahahahahahha!" the Sim-Seru cackled, building an enormous amount of energy. "Ready to face me in a powered up form?"

"Good God," Trunks swore to himself.

"Time for us to step it up, too," Cyba said. "Fusion?"

"Yeah!"

"Fu-sion... Ha!" they chanted, performing the fabled Fusion Dance. In a blinding ball of light they become one. When the light receded, Cybtrenks was alive again, ready to fight.

"Lets do this, eh?" Cybtrenks said.

"You still don't get it do you," the Sim-Seru said, feeling superior in both power and mind.

As the twins took another turn through the odd shadow-filled castle, they were both hit with a suden rush of power.
"Whoa..." Liquaro said aloud, "It looks like someone's powering up."
"Do you think Cyba and Trunks have run into trouble?" Rani asked.
"If so, I hope they can handle it," Liquaro answered.
"Who is it that they're fighting?" Rani wondered, "Is it the emperor?"
"It's his double," came Goti's voice as he stepped down the passageway that the twins had stopped in the entrance of.
"You mean the one that we fought in the past?" Rani asked.
"I think so," Goti answered.
"Have you found any trace of the mist generator?" Liquaro asked.
"This castle is a labrynth of shadows," Goti answered, "All I've found are a few seru."
"Can Cyba and Trunks handle the emperor?" Rani asked.
"I don't know," Goti sighed, "I don't want to wait and find out again, but there are always the other seru to back up the emperor if we don't take care of the mist generator. There's also Bardock to worry about..." He said the last part with an air of distance to his voice.
"So do we keep on looking for the generator, or do we help them with the emperor?" Rani asked.
"If things start looking bad," Goti said, "Then I want to be there to stop it. For now, the best way we can help may be destroying the generator."

[chibi cajones]

O.k. So is Gohan with the members of the resistance in their base, or is he out somewhere else doing his own thing? Also would it hurt to bring in some of the other freedom fighters such as Alex and the other aliens when the time is right?

"Well..." Kairin said, feeling somewhat awkward with the sudden silence that fell over the scene, "I guess we should get going."
"Perhaps I could transport us," Kone suggested, "I cannot get us inside the fasility, however. The fasilities of the empire are shielded from teleportation, as you may have already learned." No one seemed to notice, but the last part of Kone's sentence was directed at one of them in particular.
"I think I'm ready," Shairo said.
"After all that we've done to get this far," Katar said, "I'm not quitting now."
"Then let the journey continue," Elohssa proclaimed.
"Everyone, form a circle," Kone instructed, stepping confidently into the area between the bulk of the group and Goken and Kikyo. Yabu and Goten stepped toward her as the others did as she instructed. Kone looked back at Goken and Kikyo once more, then she returned her gaze to the others.
"Join hands," she instructed. The group silently did so. Kone raised her arms as a shimmer began to flow outward in the air, surrounding all of them in a dome of transparency. It grew stronger, slowly becoming a full fledged glow and finally a bright flash as they found themselves moving across the planet in one instant.
